I like the blog... It lets me swear.
As for the trade it sucks. Toine sucks, Ainge sucks, the management sucks. I can't think of one positive thing to say, except that I am going to save a few bucks by not going to anymore games this season.
Toine fucking sucks. He shouldn't be playing anything. The only upside is his contract is up at the end of the season. However, since they traded for him this late in the year those cocksuckers must plan on signing that little bitch to an extension he isn't worth. Fuck!!! Give me the money. I can let people blow past me on the court all night for 12 million

If AJ gives up #8, what a shitty message that sends. You just let the future of the franchise turn his jersey over to the one person we're all trying to forget. I guess Ainge better pick up Walter next season too.

At first the trades today look like crazy man's ramblings, but let's REALLY look at them. First Jiri to Cleveland. , for a shitty pick. Jiri's value was as high as it was going to get. He's not better than Tony Allen, or Ricky Davis, so he wasn't going to get any more playing time. Good trade. The pick then goes to Atlanta with Payton + trash, for Toine. At first I saw this as screwing Payton, but really it's an opportunity for him to play in the finals. How? Atlanta will obviously waive him, then some smart team like Miami will pick him up. Good for Gary and us. Toine's value is dirt right now, so the Celts will be able to easily match any offers this summer for Toine, or clear up the cap space.

Philly got C web, Rogers, and Mash. Danny counters with the C Web killer -Toine. Without this trade the Celts had no hope of fighting off Philly for the last spot. Toine's gonna play hard to get a good contract, so that means the play offs. Then again, I've never seen Toine slack. He might be a knuckle head, but he's always played hard. I guess Aw was right, the offense will 'go through me and Paul'. lol

Danny Ainge is a mastermind. Simply amazing, getting Antoine back. Danny is like Dick Chaney, the man beind OZ, pulling the strings and controlling all the action. We all hated him. Then he get's Toine back!!! Toine's the equivelant of George Bush. Lots of wiggle and annoying nonsense talk, mean while distracting the public from the real man running the organization. What a great smoke screen move. Now we'll all be talking about Toine again, instead of Danny. It's pure genius.

hey DA, that wasn't the pick we traded, it was either ours or the Laker one from the GP trade, whichever's worse. Either way it's going to be a better pick then Cleveland's in 07, which'll be at best in the mid 20's.
I just heard Shira on Sportspulse NE saying that "the way this deal was structured will probably give an answer as to who'll be playing point guard" So maybe there's some truth to the GP getting waived and coming right back rumor. Or it's going to be Kenny and then I'll eat my own fucking shit and cry myself to sleep fo the rest of the season. Can't wait for all those 'toine, PP, RD moments when each one of them is trying to take the game over. I've said it before, I'll say it again - FUCK!

We struggled to get rid of him. If you sign him to an extension, we won't be able to resign the rookies. There just isn't enough $ to go around.

hey Jeff, how about a PO vs. Hagrid chat war and we transcribe the results for everyone?
I have expressed my admiration for Celticsblog many times, i don't think criticizing individual posts by people I don't name equals dissing the blog. Fortunately or unfortunately, CBlog has the most people posting, so it's the best place to see people's thoughts and then reflect on them. ie: when I say, "someone at Celticsblog said..." I don't mean Jeff or Hagrid. It's like saying, "some moron on the radio said..." and you don't mean the DJ. PO has his opinions and they are often visceral, but I think most people realize that he's just stirring the pot. I'm sure he'd disagree with that...
Dr.Chestnutt |

... on the other hand, I just see that Hagrid's taking shots at RickyDFan, probably because RickyDFan has the balls to post here and have some fun and give us his opinion. Celticsblog is a fucking abomination. Wyc is too worried about what Glen Ordway and Gary Tanguay think so he forces Ainge to trade for someone who will fill seats. I am running away from the Celtics. In three years Ainge will be gone, Doc will be fired and These guys will sell the team. I'd buy a Cavs jersey but their uniforms are ugly as shit.

How many C's fans traded in their season tickets for a roll of Scott's toilet paper after yesterday's "news?" This franchise has sunk so low, it's frightening. There's no rational explanation other than perhaps they think 'Toine will draw a few more fans into the Fleet. Anyone thinking rationally knows that 'Toine couldn't draw flies on the hefty piece of shit lodged in my jaw.

Odd coincidence or premonition? Look at this quote from Dr. Chestnutt after a Celtics game earlier this year against the Hawks.

It's hard to derive a lot of future portent from the Jazz game since Utah
has been playing poorly and beset by injuries, but I will say that:
1)While West is more of an hybrid than a pure PG, he can really shoot from the PG spot and that is always an advantage.
2)Banks was a draft reach by Ainge since he's essentially a change of pace guard and you find those types in the second round or free agency, but he may suffice in that role.
Just as long as he's not starting or his main responsibility is running the team.
3)Walker played well and more under control than Pierce, then again, the
matchup was in Toine's favor, so he
had a chance to shine, rather than being exposed as usual by someone like Duncan or Okafor, etc. who could shut him down.
4) The thing with Walker is that both his inside game and outside shooting fluctuate so widely that, he can't be your first option ever at either,
and he lacks the quickness to guard small forwards. Which is why, if the Celtic

wow, Ray you pretty much said everything that needs to be said about last night. Antoine playing more under control then Pierce was a surprise, but you're 100% right - he had the better match up and an opportunity to shine. I also think he'll cut down on the threes and go inside until he gets comfortable with the situation (or catches wind that the owners want to re-sign him), and then... well God help us all.
Also, as much as I can't stand Banks, if Doc uses him like he did last night, I'd be fine with him. Great points Ray.
PO - did you notice how unhappy Raef, Pierce and Perk all looked? Also, was Ricky coming down off a 48 hour crack jag? Jesus, I love the guy but he seemed completely out of it.

Why'd the seven foot pussy get so much playing time? The only positive to this trade is if it gets that asshole off the floor. If the plan is to take minutes away from Al and Kendrick, then we're actually regressing in terms of the team.

The seven foot pussy being relegated to the bench is the best thing about this trade. I thought Raef was pissed because of foul trouble, Perk definitely looked pissed but he's the twelth man so who gives a fuck, Pierce was pissed because he was out of control and committing tons of fouls. Walker brought tons of heart to the team though, a team that was dull stagnant and infuriating. At least they are entertaining now. Who exposes Toine first, the Suns of the Lakers?
