You're right, Antoine never should of come back, like gettin sloppy seconds. He is especially at his worst at playoff time, when the great players step up their game. At least we got something for him, but I'd rather have kept the first round pick. Plus, his titties were starting to sag. So are Blounts, let's get rid of him too.

Can you imagine Walker in year 6 of this debacle of a contract? Good call, Dr., there's NO way he stays with Maimi the entire length of the deal.
I keep on trying to forget that we gave up a number 1 this year for that fat turd, and you keep on reminding me. Fuck.

watching Riley waste $55 million on Antoine slightly eases the lingering pain of the 87 finals.

hey, are any of you guys "World Free B" over at Celticsblog? There's an amazing post in the comment section about Ainge making deals for fiscal reasons rather than acquiring talent. If it's one of you, great work.

it's a guy from chairchuckers.com. I'm pretty sure he's the same as randykutchersmullet, no idea why he's using two names at celticsblog.

thanks Willie, I'm not sure I agreed with the guy, I just thought it was well thought out.
re: first round pick - it's funny because they're trying to justify the lost first rounder with the "we have too many young players and tons of picks." But if the Lakers and us end up in the lottery this year (which is likely), this whole 'toine rental is going to feel even worse.

high comedy - Riley on Antoine: "Antoine Walker is one of the very best multi-faceted, versatile players in this game. ... He is able to handle the ball, pass it, make plays, shoot 3's and rebound the ball. There isn't anyone in this league better at doing that."

Rest of Riley quote: "The experimental medication I am currently on has had absolutely no effect on my ability to differentiate fact from fiction. By the way, Mr. Reporter, why is your hair blue and quit winking at me with your third eye."

The conspiracy part of me thinks that he is setting Van Gundy up to fail with these two shitheads so that he can coach again.

PO, I think you're on to something. Walter McAsshole is a free agent. If the Heat get him, there'll be no doubt about it.

maybe when he first Van Gundy and Shaq goes down with a career ending injury he can hire Obrien.

Thank goodness that Toine is gone. We did a solid for him, and that should reflect well on the team as a whole (like players might want to come here, because the GM will play ball for you). We are no worse off without Toine, the kids have more experience and should be able to fill that gap up, and Raef is a bit healthier.

absolutely RickyDFan, we also buttered up Mark Bartelstein and that should help us move Blount eventually.

Hopefully one of those teams we've helped out (Pistons, Miami, Atl, etc...) also chips in. Either way, Danny is starting to improve our image around the league. We helped Payton get more money last year, and gave him a place worth playing at, and did the same for Walker. It might not get us Shaq, Duncan, Wade and LeBron, but it could be the difference in getting a quality free agent that can contribute or Yogi Stewart.
