Jiri sucks. who would want his bad karma rubbing off on them? Anyone remember Jiri giving Delonte the freeze out in several games? Wouldn't pass the ball, played out of control, played real shitty defense etc. My guess is that Jiri's the bad teamate.
As for that convoluded message by WOTR I suggest you get a life, maybe go to a bar, meet a girl (or a guy) maybe buy some porn mags and stop worrying about someone's private life and assuming since they are black, play basketball, and have a son that they must be a bad parent or partner.
I do remember Jiri and Banks both freezing out Delonte. That was weak. As for the restaurant thing being just a Jiri/Ricky dust-up, that could be, but I remember the comment was about "our veterans." Maybe the veterans all just snubbed Jiri, which is entirely possible being that the guy didn't speak the language, didn't appear to manifest NBA-caliber skills and was taking time away from other people.
My only point about Ricky is that, interpersonally at least, he seems to be a bit of a fuck-up. There's nothing wrong with that. Many great players have been fuck-ups off the court. It just struck me as kind of weird and there really isn't much else to talk about. I think WOTR's completely correct that the franchise has been putting him front and center as a PR move. This could all be preparation for a Pierce trade, or it could simply be to sell jerseys. My guess is the latter.

yeah, that's the whole thing ultimately with the PP/AW problem, with those guys together we were never going to develop into a team.
Of great concern to me is whether or not Doc has the juice to really get these guys to play together. Last year was last year, but he's going to have to do more this year with getting these guys to by into it. A big problem with him getting this done is having a "superstar" focal-point who resists this concept. Another problem is the fact that Doc doesn't seem to have a consistent message. That's why as optimistic as I am about the talent on this team, I think this year is going to be very choppy waters.
Agreed. Decisions that Doc makes this year in terms of playing time can have long-lasting affects for the Celtics for years.
