Plenty of internet sites allow a degree of humorous banter back and forth, Jeff and Hackgrid just couldn't handle being called out on their fanboy all is good attitudes last year and anyone that called them out on it was told to tone it down or be banned. It's their site they can do what they want with it and if that's how they want to run it I'd rather not be a part of it.
that said Celticsblog pretty much blows at this point. there is way too much noise from too many idiotic posters with no sense of humor or self depreciation. i'll check the links from time to time and when I see someone post "We shouldn't say anything negative Wyc may read it!!!" Willie makes a good point about how CelticsBlog has grown in leaps and bounds, and for the most part it's known by most internet-using Celtics fans. That means that frequently the things we discuss here relate to it in some way. I don't think there's anything wrong with that - it's part of what the Celtics are. It's like when we talk about Mike and Tommy or Wyc or things people say on the radio. I also don't have a problem with people shitting all over each other in these comment things, but people are also entitled to come to people's defense. There will never be any censorship here (which is guarenteed by the fact that neither of us know how to delete comments from this thing), but the lack of censorship goes all ways. People who say shit about us or anyone else are just as valid as people who say nice things. That's why we'll probably never be all that well trafficked of a website, but who cares? It's a sports team. It's the internet. It's a way to kill some time and talk to people who have interesting opinions.
In other words - fuck it.
