Excellent analysis. You're right, Ricky has to be on the second unit, if Scalaurine is your prime scorer you are in deep shit. Dickau wasn't anything special, can't stop thinking that we could have had Baron Davis. Pierce looked in great shape, maybe reports of his all night partying were overstated. Lots of work to do with this team, AlJeff's gonna need to be a player is we're going anywhere.
thanks stnx. Yeah, I thought Pierce looked refreshed and happy. That's not bound to last all season, but it was nice to see him knocking down open shots. Perk was the best surprise, I thought. He was in control and looked liked he belonged. I wish Blount would go away and reteam with Waltah for the "NBA All-Fuckhead Team"
I'll admit that Pierce looked good. At one point I screamed, pass the ball and he actually did (on the play when Ricky fed Raef on the break).

Yr right about Reed. Assuming his posse doesn't kill anyone between now and November, he'll probably be getting significant minutes. The interesting thing will be 1) if Allen comes back, and 2) if he does, how Doc handles working him back in. I'm sure it'll be fucked up and will make many people unhappy.

RickyD, I agree, this truly has been the offseason of "what the fuck is going on?" I was on board with everything until Scalabrine/Dickau and three year deals for Bynum and Greene. The TA/RD/PP logjam was bad enough, now we have 5 mediocre points battling to be the guy about whom we can all say, "I wish we had a real point guard instead of (fill in the blank)."

The good posters over at Celticsblog seemed to find the Globe article very negative, which I can't understand, having read it three times. I actually thought it was pretty fair and almost innocuous coming from my main man Pete May. He just reiterated the fact that Silas and O'Brien hated him and that it's kind of surprising to see him as the face of the Celtics. RickyDFan, you are our resident expert on Buckets, am I missing something?

Hey, I used to have a job cleaning the inventory at a used dildo store (anybody know a good way to get corn off of plastic?). Rodney Dangerfield would have felt right at home here. I liken viewing both sites to reading the Globe and the Herald, a way to get a comprehensive, no bs analysis of a team we'd all like to see return to its' glory days.
