I watched the game with Detroit announcers. On the Scalaburine drive they said he wouldn't have made the shot if he was trying to shoot it into a bathtub. They totally dissed Dickau's defense, and in fact laughed about it. In a game where we needed toughness in the 4th quarter, Perkins sat. We needed to shut down Billups, Orien sat. I don't like the way this season is starting out, we're not using the right players at crucial times in the game.
It was as if the Pistons were the dad playing ball with his son, allowing him to score at ease to build his confidence, and then kick his ass at the end to teach him a lesson.
What do you mean, Perk didn't get to play? He was in for a whole minute. So was Orien Greene. Reed played for 4 minutes, and Big Al was rewarded with his 5 for 7 shooting and 5 rebounds with a whopping 16 minutes! With playing time like this, our young guys will be seasoned veterans by around 2015. Or they will have gone on to have great careers with other teams, because we will have no fucking idea of their capabilities due to Cocs' infatuation with "seasoned vets" like Cockau and Scalaburine. Can we get Waltuh McFarty and Jiri back, what the fuck?
Scalabrine over Reed/Perkins/Gomes continues to burn this team. That drive that you describe tittyfuck, #44 had a wide open shooter in the corner (might have been Pierce) but instead tried to chuck the ball off the glass against 3 defenders. I hate that fucks Scalabrine.
I was impressed with Ricky last night being able to run with Rip for the full game. He looked like he was the only one with legs left at the end of the game. That kid has fucking heart. If anyone else did they might actually give him a hand on those triple screens. Is it that hard for Pierce or Blount to rotate?? I am not asking them to do long division, or cure cancer, just turn to your left and take three steps. My eight year old niece can do that. Why can't they?

Ricky D cannot continue playing 42 minutes a night. That was nuts. I didn't mention it in the recap, but fucking Dickau had 3 turnovers. With him and Scalaburine fucking up on the court and the C's looking like morons against good teams, I can only imagine the impending moral collapse.

It's been 7 games, we can reactivate Green now right? You have to spend 5 games on the bench if you are deactivated, so why don't we bring this fucking kid up and let him play with the big boys. You aren't going to become a star in this league playing major minutes on Trapelo Rd. in Waltham, the kid needs to step onto a real court.

I think Green can play anytime, as I understand it the activation for the 12 man roster is a game-day decision. He's still 2 years away from getting anything close to regular minutes, I would think. I don't even think he'll get lots of time on an NBDL team. Frankly, I think he slid to 18 for good reason.
Nonetheless, we need to clear some clutter (Reed, burine, Blount, Dickau) and get the guys who we think our the future (Gomes, Greene, West, Green, Perk) some real minutes. Coc will never let them play with the safety blanket of playing the "vets" ahead of them.
