Very nice... Some new names are hitting up the site. Excellent recap. When you are outrebounded by a guy the Bucks didn't even want, you are so fucked it isn't funny. Ricky was one of the few efficient players last night. A lot more points than shots. Pierce did okay for long stretches but started really fucking up late in the game. Every shot he thought should be his. It was awful. Greene wasn't bad. Better than West, I would keep him in. As for the rest of the team - See ya! Trade the fucking lot of them. If Al doesn't want to work for it, he is going to turn into a Blount. Al has to start showing up every game and really playing. Blount on the other hand should just stay the fuck home. I can get a rebound playing 25 minutes against ATL. I can probably get 5 of them. RD tied Raef and Blount on the glass... How?
And a "P.S." for all of you who think Banks and Allen will make all the difference in the world - go fuck yourselves. This team needs a lot more than those clowns to get back to what it should be. I would take almost any trade right now that deals our "youth" for actual talent to play along side our three veterans (RD, PP and the streaky RL). Trade all four of our point guards and a 1st rounder for Too Fast Too Furious (Too Short) Telfair. At least he can play point guard. Vin fucking Baker would be an upgrade in our front court at this stage. The problem is no team wants to trade someone decent to us, and they wouldn't want to come in the first place. That leaves us overpaying our drafted players so they can suck or leave when the big dough roles around.
P.S. I don't really like the holidays.
I have been also thinking recently about how the Hawks could turn things around, specifically in the 07/08 season. It is then with the cap space they have hopefully been saving that they sign former Yellowjacket Chris Bosh. Imagine a lineup of Johnson, J.Smith, Marvin Williams, Bosh, and whatever Euro big man they pick up in this years draft. They could hang in the East. I agree with the Dr. that despite the fact that they have not looked good at all this season there may finally be light at the end of the Hawks tunnel.
I'd argue that the Atlanta youngsters are not that superior to the C's youngsters. They have been given the keys to the team, they seem to be well coached and hungry. They actually play consistant minutes.
Sorry RDfan, I'm going the other way, trade all the "veteran" stiffs (save Ricky!).
It's sad, I've been down on the present C's for a while, but I look forward to the future C's. The last few games have made me question that future. Dispressing.

PO - I hear what yr saying, that the Atlanta rooks/2nd yr guys have the benefit of more playing time, but I'd take Childress, Stoudemire and Josh Smith over our Delonte, TA, Gomes, Reed and Jefferson any day (even Williams, their "potentially brain-dead hypertalented athelete" who Gerald Green is our equivalent - at least he isn't ripping his groin dunking during warmups). The kool-aiders often claim that Danny is a "draft genius" without understanding that it's lottery picks where 99% of yr potential stars are found. Has Ainge done well for where he drafted? Of course, he picked up some solid future 8th, 9th and 10th men. But would we have been better off tanking the last two seasons and getting in the lottery? It's looking like it I think.

As a fan I never wanted them to tank the last two season, I actually thought Ainge tried to two years ago but Mork Hunt fucked that up by playing like Wes Unseld down the stretch. Looking back I really wish they had tanked it and gone lottery each of the last two years. Last year was a total waste of playoff time and energy. The talking point was that it would be good to get the young guys playoff experience. Looks like that experience has really payed off. One guy in jail, one guy who looks worse than he did two months after high school, one guy who sucks and is always hurt, and then two bit parts in Reed and Perkins who play hard but never get the minutes when they are needed.
