That’s a kick in the ass, and a reminder to everyone who thinks we can package Blount and Raef for KJ.

Maybe there’s a shot we can package a tradable with an untradable, but it’s more likely we trade one from the dregs category, which means we get nothing in return. I totally agree with you on Dickau, he has backup PG who comes in to shoot on a good team vibe. Good fit for the right team.

Gravatar I didn't think I could feel any more depressed about this team, but the truth is, you have assessed our situation precisely and perfectly. Management is just going to have to say fuck the salary cap, pay the tax, and do what we can to improve the team, finances by damned. We almost need a miracle. The players we don't want are locked up for years. I learned to acquire a taste for liver, won't be able to do it for Veal. The brain type thing is an absolute joke, the trade kicker is a kick in the nuts, and the only 'run' this team will make is if someone on the team has a diarrhea attack.

Gravatar thank you both. Yr right farthbreath, we have so much bad money laid out that we need to either spend our way out of it or pray for some weird kind of miracle, like LeBron becoming infatuated with New England and demanding a trade here. Once you become mediocre, as we have, it's tough to fight out of it.

Gravatar great writeup. I'd also add that Blount is statistically the worst defensive center in the NBA.

Gravatar Yikes... That what happens when make bad free agent signings. How nice must it be to be Veal though. You are set for life, never have to work again and get front row tickets to NBA games for the next five years.

Gravatar Interesting analysis, Dr. C.
I think Tony Allen will have lots of trade value in the Chicago Pen
League. And speaking of Chicago, Pierce to the Bulls for Deng, Thomas,
and a first would free up Cap Space and get the C's a nice young talent in return. Not as good as getting
Chris Paul and an expiring contract, but not bad considering the situation.

Hmmm.

There's really no out for this club other than to stop being mediocre and just accept being bad for a couple of seasons to get a couple of High Lottery Picks and obtain an impact player or two.

Either that, or Ainge will have to stop playing it safe and take a shot at someone like Artest, who will cost them, but helps you win games.

And draft Adam Morrison, LOL. He's the closest thing to Bird in terms of offensive creativity to come along
in the College Game. I see his NBA career being somewhere between Mullin and Bird. I think he has a chance to be an impact player, because he can create his own shot anywhere on the court, and could he do for the small forward position, what Nowitzki does for PFs.

Gravatar WOTR, I would do that Pierce trade, but I have a ridiculous fixation on Deng and think he can do no wrong.

However, Chicago, Sacramento and Denver seem to be the likely teams (to me) that could benefit from adding Pierce and have something to give in return. Heinrich is more of a heart/soul of the team guy, Gordon seems entrenched, so maybe Chicago would cough up Deng for a proven scorer who can draw a double team (which they said last year was their weakness).

An Artest trade that keeps Jefferson and either Pierce or Ricky is a no brainer, simply because you have lots more options to move him later. If tradeability was rated on a 1-10 (10 being easiest to move with most chance of even/good return, 1 being Mork Cunt), I think Artest is a 10, Ricky is a 7 and Pierce is like a 4. Think you couldn't eventually get Isiah to take Raef and Artest for Houston's exp contract and Frye? I'd say it's possible.

Gravatar The NBA needs to stop garuanteeing contracts. It is complete shit. I can't believe Wyc isn't leading that charge after getting saddled with shit for the next half decade. Imagine if you went to Blount and said "You're Fired", and didn't have to pay him.

Basketball is much less detrimental than football, yet their contracts aren't garuanteed and usually a lot lower.

Gravatar the NBA is a players league. THe union is powerful enough to never let non guaranteed contracts happen. If it were the players could all just walk away and form their own league.

Gravatar I like fat chicks but if you can't rebound then forget it.

Gravatar Okay... Which one of you is Celtics Fan 2.0??? Someone stole my comments and started a thread masquerading them as their own.

It's tittyfuck... I just know it!

Gravatar Curses, foiled again. Actually, I'm over the Celtics for the time being, my new sporting passion is the Baltimore Aureoles.

Gravatar RickyD, where are that guy's comments? Is it on the comment thing or the message boards?

PO heard part of the Wyc interview and said he was ripping the team, and dismissed the youth factor as being the problem. For what it's worth. I guess he also said that there'd be a couple moves made before the deadline.

Baltimore Aureoles - hahahhahaha. And as would befit your name, you Ball More Aureoles.

Gravatar hahahaha. Ball More Aureoles. Could there be a better three word directive on how to live ones' life? If a guy would fuck his hand, why wouldn't he fuck a flabby titty? And, oh yeah, Fuck Coc.

Gravatar They're not flabby when she holds them up and in.

Another interesting part of Wyc's interview was when they asked him if Danny has the ability to make any trade, he said that he pays the bills and Danny makes all decisions, but that for big trades they all work together. A follow-up question about getting toine last year would have been interesting, but those two guys don't know anything about the team.

Gravatar The fanboys have spoken Wyc and they don't want Artest. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!

Gravatar It is on the message boards, it has it's own heading under the poll of gauranteed contracts (something to the effect of should the NBA garauntee them or not).

They should make some moves. If we are going youth, package Raef, Dickau and Davis then package Blount and Pierce. We get rid of all our bad contracts (for something equally as bad no doubt, just expiring this year), and let the kids take over. We tank, get nice picks, Gay, Reddick or Killingsworth, and then go from there.
