We are also witnessing the demise of Raef as a 30+ minute starter on this team. It will be impossible for Coc to keep Perk and Als' minutes in the teens anymore. I, too, was nervous at Cocs' rotation at the end with no real rebounder. Was Morkunt playing to avoid a trade, he seems to respond when his future is on the line.

He's playing himself into a trade.
Wierd night, Ricky and Pierce played bad (does Jackson's eyes light up when he sees Pierce defending him or what), but everyone else contributes. Even Orien did some nice things.
Perk is such a natural on the offensive boards. Much like the ball mysteriously avoids Blount on the rebound, it somehow ends up in Perk's hands.

All right, the trading date has arrived. Anyone in the market for some overpaid, underachieving ball players? Oh, you've got some too? Let's make a deal.

We all knew the scenario; Pierce asked out, Danny explores the Paul/Van Excel deal, Pierce says he won’t go to Portland. But to see it in print, with Pierce admitting to his role, really fucking pisses me off.
We’ve been moaning about a way out of this mess – we missed the real opportunity last summer. We could have had a franchise point guard to grow with our franchise forward, with millions of cap space in ’07.
Fuck you Paul Pierce.

Yeah... that doesn't build chemistry. Interesting timing as well with all the trade talk swirling and the action can finally get started.
I won't leave, don't worry. Ricky will come back. He is also one of the top ranked shooting guards in the league right now. He also might be the guy that gets us out of Raef's contract or a Blount/Scab debacle. If they managed to package him with those guys and free us of the over paid bags of shit on our bench than Ricky should always have a place in a Celtics fan's heart. I'd retire his number for that one.

hahaha, RickyDF, so would I. But I hope it doesn't come to that. To trade away a guy you got in a great trade to erase a mistake you could have avoided in free agency is the ultimate in zero sum idiocy.
Myassholestnx, that's a great point about Raef. It very well could be the last time we see him start all season. Or he and Blount could be playing 48 minutes a game come January because Coc doesn't know what he's doing.

for some reason there are ads now appearing on this comment thing, and I just wanted to assure everyone that we have not sold out. I don't know if this is some deal Haloscan does, but we're not part of it. My advice, do NOT solicit our squatter-"sponsors"

Shucks, I just subscribed to a lifetime supply of hemmorhoid cream on this website, I thought you and PO might get a piece of the action. A stinky asshole is one thing, but stinky hems are asking too much.

Ironically the ones that show up on mine are all for attorneys in Boston. Is that telling me something?

Refer them to the Minnesota Vikings. Serves 'em right! Why do a lap dance when you've got two perfectly good titties right there in front of you.
