If anything, this year totally proves PierceOverrated’s main point – Paul Pierce is incapable of leading the Celtics to respectability. As you may recall, PO often argued that Pierce at his finest meant little because he was not one of those players who made his teammates better. In case you’re not following (too busy surfing the web looking for references to you and you site), Paul Pierce is having his best year, and we (the Celtics, not CelticsDoom) fucking suck.

as I've stated countless times before, I value everyone's opinion and there are quality ones here on this site
as for the people who comment on my site, I can't take credit or blame for them - they (mostly) behave and treat each other with respect, so they are welcome to any opinion they want. I think it is a bit silly to hate on them just because of little ol' me.
I believe that they represent a pretty nice cross-section of Celtics fans. Thus, if you are going to criticize them, you might as well criticize all Celtics fans. They mirror the opinions at RealGM, CelticsNation, and other fine sites.

It’s not so much a simple matter of replace Pierce with player A, although I could provide many names that I think would be better if that is an exercise you would like to engage in. It’s the fact that you can not build a team around Pierce.
He’s not a leader, he doesn’t make his teammates better, and right now he’s not playing defense. He’s the perfect second banana on a championship caliber team, a point I made the very first few posts on your board.
I spite Kool-Aid drinkers because they are unwilling to do what is necessary to rebuild, which may mean trading your favorite player(s) and having a few poor seasons with young players. Your “cross-section” of Celtic fans is happier with perpetual mediocrity.
