thanks Ray. Fascinating trade, if the dude made it up it's one of the best fake proposals I've ever seen. Seems like Minny is kinda screwed by it, but I guess they get some size and Inmate #42, and ditch Hudson's lengthy contract. I'd do this in a second, but it seems like the right trade for the wrong reason - ie, we'll continue to swim around the shallow end trying to pretend that a Pierce-based team is a title contender. Still need a legit point guard and scoring off the bench, so it still has the makings of a first round exit. Also, we're bound to be throwing a #1 at either Minni or Indy, and that gives one pause. I'd like to see us stocking up lottery picks, but it would undeniably help us NOW, and provides us with a highly tradeable piece in Artest. If it happens I'm sure we'll all have plenty to say tomorrow.

Has anything fucking changed? (But I did tittyfuck last night).
Doc had the worst call ever in the game last night (I don't usually rip him, this is the second time ever). Down the stretch with the game tied up, were a rebound could potentially mean winning the game or losing it, he had Orien, West, Ricky, Pierce and Perkins in there. What? One guy to board??? Why would you ever do that? I would have had LaFrentz, Al and Perk in there. As it turned out, the Wiz got the ball, scored, we caught up, and then they got the last posession (which would have been ours had we rebounded).
I think it was actually Scalabrine and not Perkins.
Ricky/Blount for Wally/Kandi is a strange trade, and it does nothing to get us what we need, which is a real point guard and more toughness. Wally's contract is just another Raef-ian ugly mess. There must be some real concerns about Ricky off the court that we're not hearing, because slump or not, he's still a valuable and underpaid player. One I don't readily see inmate #42 replacing anytime soon.

My first impression is slightly positive only in that the move guarentees time for Al and Perk, and gets Tony some more time. Ainge on the radio this morning seemed committed to the young guys, even saying that making the playoffs are not important to him, especially if it means the young guys are not progressing.
