I did see garbage time, and Gomes' smooth interview. Is 36 minutes the most combined minutes he's played to date? Very happy to see him play, keep him at the 4, he can play there.
The bright side to the trade and injury situation is that it's forced Coc to have a sensical rotation now. Olowakandi saw no playing time, wonder if that's permanent. Coc actually looked like and NBA coach last night, please don't do well enough to convince management to keep you for next year.
Shame of it is that it took injuries to Jefferson and Perkins for Coc to even dream about playing Gomes. What a fuqqin' genius! Hey, I'll wager that once AJ and KP return, Gomes will return to the recesses of pine-scented obscurity quicker than Coc's watery exrement can sink to the bottom of the terlet. Performances like Ryan's do more to piss me off than satisfy me - knowing what we could have been getting off the bench all this time. Though, all-in-all, seeing Gomes do his thing was quite pleasing. Big Ups, dawg.

Anyway, sorry for no recap, I missed lots of the game. However, Piesche, yr correct, a fine game out of Wally, that's two in a row. More notable I thought was Raef's continued upswing. Thus, with Raef and Gomes playing well, the big question is who gets pinched for minutes when Al/Perk return? Obviously it should be Scalabrine who has quickly returned to "painful to watch" status, but does anyone think it'll be him? nooooooooo.

I don't know. The only reason Wally gets so many open shots is that the opposition collapses on Pierce. There were a few times last night when it was 5 on Pierce. I don't know if the rest of the guys would react well to getting doubles. West and Szczczrzrsz would get two defenders on every touch and that would drop their %. Kind of sad when West and Wally are our next best shooters.
I still like Killingsworth in the draft. We would have the best young front court in the league.
