yeah, I'm not a fan of the "gets it" thing. It projects an arrogance that I think is not necessarily intended, but nonetheless sounds silly in light of their record. I'm just happy the team has been more fun to watch minus Blount and plus Gomes, but as for "getting it", I think it simply exposes how low the expectations have gotten since the ugly first half of the season.
The only guys that really "get it" are the ones that, when they bend over, see two sets of balls.

Good shot by Pierce last night. His value is definitely being cemented as a "max" contract player. The only question is do we give it to him or someone else. Can you even trade Pierce right now? How outraged would the fan base be if you traded the best player we've had in years?
