Gorman strikes me as a very decent guy that would gladly share a cup of coffee with anyone wanting to talk basketball. That said, his earnestness this season is nauseating.

at least Tommy is smart enough to recognize that Scalaburine trying to go coast to coast as if he was James Worthy needs to be stopped.

Tommy "I need to have a talk with that boy."

I can only imagine.

ha! I didn't hear him say that. I imagine a talk with Tommy is a rollercoaster of false bravado and sullen silence where you speak but know he's not listening. Scalaburine deserves no less.

I do love Gorman, he's been annoying this year but he's definitely a class act and a genuinely nice dude. These later day (ie - Pitino and since) broadcasts are a piss poor representation of what was once a truly great on-air partnership. I say it alot but I maintain, Heinsohn got unbearable after Most died and he tried to evolve into that kind of "beloved homer." He missed the point, however, that Johnny was not a know-it-all or a bully. He simply loved the team and hated to see them lose. Gorman is much more in that vein of a personality, he just doesn't have the directive or desire to put Heinsohn in his place.

Gravatar Another win... Another game closer to a sweep from the Pistons.

Gravatar nice game. They'll still finish out of the playoffs. As an instant gratification type I'd rather have them march right in and face the Pistons, that would be fun. As a realist I'd rather seem them sink and get a top three pick. Jefferson might just end up being junk and it would be nice to have some talent to replace him with.

Gravatar Tony Allen pretty much said, fuck you bitch with that steal on John Salmons tonight.

Nutt'n worse than having the ball ripped from right under your legs with 2 hands.

Hate to say it, but TA really shut AI down in that last quarter. But TA is 5 inches taller, younger, and just as athletic as Iverson. He just ain't no point guard.

Gravatar "nutt'n worse" hahahahaha. Inmate #42 was just warming up for a future of soap dropping incidents in the communal shower.

Great win, definitely, but the march towards the outer fringes of the lottery is a pointless and ultimately counterproductive one. I'm with you Willie, let them get slaughtered by the Pistons and bring everyone back to their senses. Gomes is fucking nuts right now, but there must be a come-down-to-Earth moment coming soon. I love the dude, but I think he projects as, at best, a reliable 12/6 guy.

Jefferson looked like absolute fuck last night. Definitely won the Hamcock. Is anyone in the media going to point out that Wally has absolutely lost his shooting touch?

Gravatar The media might not point it out, but I sure was coming here with that intention. Wally doesn't do a lot of things. He was credited for being a great shooter. 5 for 17 is pathetic. Just plain awful. Who is excited to have him signed for 14 million for the next bunch of years? He couldn't suck more if he tried.

On the other hand, Jefferson had some nice scores, when he was fed. The kid has a way to go but don't write him off just yet. Gomes is seeing his opportunity and may just make this stick. Green needs to play more. The kid wants it and is hungry. He isn't going to learn on the bench...

Is Wally even tradable in this state?

Gravatar hahaha, RDF you need to start the "Fuck Wally Brigade." The dude should just be shut down until his knee's better, because he's killing us out there. I'm sure you've noticed, btw, the short memories of Celtics fans who months ago were saying that Ricky was their fave player on the team, and who now basically shit all over him. Nice.

I'm not giving up on Al, I just never bought into the idea that he was all that great. I think he'll be a fine starting PF in the league, but he's not Amare or Brand. He doesn't rebound consistently and he seems kind of dumb. I like him and think he should play in front of Scalabrine, but right now there's no doubt that Gomes has earned minutes slot over him. My anguish for Perk losing minutes/opportunity, is great howev.

Gravatar As a lifelong Wizznut currently living in Boston, I was forced to suffer the indignity of watching a heartbreaking loss while listening to the jubilant commentary of that idiot on FSN. I applaud you, good sir, for pointing out that Tommy's complaints about refs were indeed bullshit.

Gravatar thank you Genesis, glad to be of service. Tommy is an embarassment that can often make one feel ashamed even when the team excels.
