You need to give Scalabrine the Lifetime Achievement Hamcock just so someone else can have a chance to win. He will ALWAYS be the worst player on the court- in the NBA at least. I can see him dominating a women's rec league. He's got the tits for it.
I like Gerald Green. I wish that Danny would put him into the "core" group that the Celtics were trying to build around. It is asinine that he isn't mentioned. His potential upside is unlimited. If they trade away Al, Perk, GG, West or Gomes I only have two words for them.... Chauncy Billups. Don't give up on talent before it is fully developed. C-blog is showing that more people are in favor of bringing in another all-star to go with Pierce than developing our young core. Thank goodness that they don't control the Celtics or we would trade Al, GG and Gomes for Gilbert fucking Arenas (who I do like), and the Wizards would win three championships in the next ten years. Or maybe better yet, those three for Jermaine "I'm made of glass" O'Neill. Why not throw in a first rounded or two?
Getting off on a tangent. The point of my post is that not more than a week ago I was wondering aloud to my roommate why nobody ever says thank you to the water boys. They act as if those guys don't exist. Good for Green, although I didn't see that actual moment I will always remember that story. Folklore among the water boy circles for sure... The day they got a thank you.

Prediction: This summer we trade Al Jefferson, one other young guy (maybe Green) and our 1st round pick to get an all-star (aged, of course) to compliment Pierce into a plight of mediocrity.

ohhh yeah, I totally see that coming. The only untouchables are CuddlyDelonte and Pierce. I think Jefferson OR Perk, and/or Gomes are available to anyone providing a Pierce-appeasing veteran. Gentle Gerald and the #1 are essentially as good as gone in that deal as well. Anyone want to venture a guess as to who we'll go after? Early money says Baron Davis rumors start popping up in July, but we end up overspending for a crappy combo guard.
Maybe trade cap space and sign Harrington - Ideal situation for me. I like Harrington.
More realistically - Iverson (Phil needs youth), C.Webb (same), Grant Hill, Big Z (Cavs need cap), Larry Hughes (same), J O'Neal (Pacers I am sure would love to get someone more durable), K-Mart (why not?)
All of these guys will be movable this off-season if someone was willing to take them. If we offered Green, Al and a 1st, we could probably have our pick. Throw in Gomes and we might get a blow job out of it too (since today is steak and bj day).
oooof, Al Jefferson for Al Harrington. I will weep copiously should that sad day ever come to pass. None of those seem appealing outside of K-Mart, but not if we overpay (paying his salary is enough). I still wish we'd picked up Flip Murray for Tony Allen. He's fairly quick and a Vinnie Johnson type bench scorer - when he's hot he's hot. Not that it would have turned us around, but whatever. Also, I can't envision us carrying both OGreene and Dickowww next year. Ironically, Dickau's shooting would actually be welcome right now on that trainwreck of a second unit.
Never, never, never underestimate the value of Scalaburine.
