I can't wait for the draft analysis.
Repeat after me; Wyc Grousbeck is the kindest, gentlest and bravest owner in the history of sports.

Thank you, Dr. Chestnutt, for making this season bearable. The irony of Scalaburine playing well in a game we needed to lose, no doubt with the enthusiastic urging of Coc, encapsulates this years entire fantasy ride. We won our first and last game, and in between was a mess. I forgive Tommy for the causes of his periodic "flu" symptoms; if I had to watch every minute of this horseshit I'd be driven to drink meself. Please don't make this column the last till next season, I, too, would look forward to a draft analysis, the mental gymnastics of Coc deciding whether to go or stay, and some sliver of hope that somehow next year will be different. Until then, Happy Hamcock to all, and to all a good night.

yeah definitely, we'll have a season wrap up thing and posts as things happen. I wasn't saying we're going away or anything. The All-Gentle and All-Uncomfortably-Enthusiastic Teams await.

Not surprised about Wally's god thing. Doc's kid is named "Jeremiah." Now, who would name their kid Jeremiah? A religious nut. Danny Mormon is trying to turn the Celtics into a cult like the Latter Day Shitheads.
Thanks, Dr. Chestnutt, for your continuing coverage. I'm looking forward to your offseason insights. I've already promised to myself that if Danny acquires another "character" (read "white") veteran I'm cancelling my Direct TV NBA league pass. I won't support that.

In case people need another reason to move to memphis and start growing a beard, we lost the drawing with minnesota, so that last win did indeed move us from 6th to 7th place in the draft. thanks veal!

Good games this weekend for sure!! I am a big fan of LeBron... Wow. He played his ass off. They've got a good chance of taking that series with him playing like that.
Wade going down was a little scary. The Lakers looked a lot better than i gave them credit for, and Sactown needs to step it up and not let the Spurs sweep.

I have a nice new trade idea...
Wally, Allen & a first rounder for JO and Saras....
Although Indy would never take it, I think it would help.

LeBron was nuts. I saw part of the SA laugher, Miami (or, Miasma), and the Phoenix/Lakers. It's tough with the 7 game series to get a real sense of anything, but Miami looks weak. Toine hurts every team he's on.
Saras is interesting, he had a disapointing year and I'm not sure he's an uptempo guard, but I'm not sure we're an uptempo team. If we are going to get O'Neal, I'd rather see Wally go than Jefferson or Perk, that's fer sure.

I hope LeBron turns it on tonight. I would like to see the Cavs win it. I wouldn't mind seeing SacTo win a few as well. Pulling for Heat, Indy, and Phx too...
Going for O'Neal or one of the many guards listed on the CBlog site would almost certainly mean shipping out Wally and one or more of the youngsters. The only salary matchers are Wally, Pierce and Raef. Raef ain't moving without Green, Al and a first rounder. So he is out. Trading Pierce would be a bad idea and alienate even more fo the fan base unless it got Wade or someone equaly as untouchable.

I have a question for who ever wrote this article. If you hate the Celtics so much then why do you watch them? Aparently you just like to complain and torture your self. A person with half a brain would know not to watch something they don't like so you must have some issues. So to rap this all up STOP watching the celtics if you don't LIKE them. It would save you hours of time and you could do something you enjoy. Or if you for some reason keep watching them then write about the facts!

Hey true celtic fan, how about you sick my duck?
Seriously though, there are several other sites that offer gushing analysis of the celtics. I invite you to go to them. Celticsblog.net is a fantastic one. I highly recommend it and I frequent it myself.
This site however is not about dreams. This site is real and cuts through the bullshit and the hype. If you remember what the best franchise in basketball used to look like, than this site provides you with real insite as to what's wrong with the current organization. It also offers a forum to express you own displeasure.
If you can't remember those days, if you think the 02 run at the ECF was the high point or if your brand of basketball is 'Toine and PP jacking up thousands of shots and not D-ing up than this site is not for you.
Keep in mind the internet is open and free. Anyone can post anything they want, you're the one that read it.
Now go fuck yourself.

howdy everyone, sorry about the lengthy delay. I had to catch up on a bunch of work shit and then I went away for a few days.
I'll have a new CelticsDoom piece up on Weds, thanks for yr patience. Also, I'm not abandoning us here, but I'm doing a weekly friday piece for the Daily Bacon Blog http://www.wizznutzz.com/dailybacon.html, an offshoot of the Wizznutzz site, for the offseason. My hope is to have one piece a week during the offseason here, and one over there that won't be related to the NBA or the Celtics.
Anyway, I'll put up the new thing on Weds (assuming I finish it and its good) and I'm back here on the haloscan. Thanks again for continuing to come by and talk. I enjoyed the "ture" Celtics fan immensely.

I'd like to thank the ture celtic fan for getting us talking again. I wonder, however, which facts she expects you to write about. Is it the 33-49 record? Raef's $12M a year contract? Danny's (IMHO) racism? Wyc's nepotism? Scal's $15M? Al's disappointing season? TA's potential jail time? The team's inability to rebound or defend? Tommy's and Mike's pathetic spin-doctoring of an undertalented team and an incompetent coach? Yeah, I agree! Just stick to the facts!

hahaha, the fact that our future is TURELY depressing.
This Jermaine O'Neal talk is insane. He'll either be a Celtic or a Knick next year I guess, but the idea that we can get O'Neal for like AJ and Raef is kooky. No one is swallowing Raef's deal unless we include ALOT more to the pot, and that includes at least GG and our #1. But even then, the team is Pierce, damaged Wally and damaged Jermaine. Still no PG, still brutally bad coaching.

Nothing better than brutally bad coaching... Yeah, the facts a pretty scary. JO is going to come at a high price. I don't think he ends up here though. I can't really see us signing anyone big or a trade this off season. There just isn't enough to go around. Maybe Wally, Al, and two first for JO?? That could work, but even then it might be a stretch. Although you could offer West and Allen to ATL for Harrington to replace the wing in that situation (and a substantial upgrade).
ATL might do it to get younger and cheaper on the wings. They also get one of the most accurate combo guards (that will never be an NBA player). We get one of the best wings available to run with Pierce. Any thought of that hurting our point guard situation is crap because we already suck there...

How dare anyone criticize the Celtics!!! We're only 25 wins away from becoming an elite team. Anyone insensitive enough to honestly critique our Coc-led warriors would be the type of ill-bred bufoon that would have the nerve, uh, for example, to tell someone that their asshole stinks. What kind of an asshole would do that?

hahahha, a mere 25 wins away! That'll be the slogan for the next FSN promo featuring gratuitous synth music, homoerotic Delonte shots, and cross cuts to whatever "the Future" player currently predicted to not be on the trading block. Or, better yet, a shot of Wyc baring his asshole to the television audience claiming that "if you can't smell it, that means it doesn't stink" and the whole thing dissolving into Manray level incoherence. (come back Willie!)
RDF, you make an interesting point about perhaps nothing happening over the summer. I agree that the pieces just arent there to move (assuming, of course, that the rest of league "values" Wally as much as we don't). Still, I think they have to do something to appease Pierce, and I'm just not sure there's anyone on the FA agent that even comes close. Hmmmmmmm, Antoine Pt 3?

Speaking of stinking, the stench from this season is just starting to dissipate. Holy shit, what a grind. Any more Scalaburine type sig(h)nings and there'll be one less pair of titties rootin' for the Celtics next year. I told my wife if she gets any more rings around her titties she should change her name to Saturn.

I said all that stuff before because everyone keeps saying how the celtics are so horrible. It gets really anoying after a while but I must say that Dr. Chestnutt has a point with some of the stuff he writes about. I love the celtics but they do have some problems they have to take care of before they can be as great as they use to be.
By the way, RickyD Fan why don't you go suck your own dick. Like you said "the internet is open and free. Anyone can post anything they want, you're the one that read it." So what I said before is my own opinion and if you don't like it then thats your problem.
