I wrote this a couple days ago but hadn't had time to get to the coffee shop. So hopefully it's still relevant. Anyway, the link is supposed to link to the story about Clifford Ray pulling a twisted screw out of a dolphin's stomach, but apparently Blogger won't let it link to it.

Funny that the Pierce rumors are already starting, but I can't imagine any scenario where Detroit gives up Chauncey. Maybe we can offer them Kenny Anderson.

Also, sorry, I just read the latest comments, but Rocky pointed this out which I found hugely funny.

"Saw this headline on Celtics.com:

"Sebastian Telfair and Allan Ray Encourage Students to Stay in School..""

hahahahahaha.

Gravatar I wish we'd of kept Akingbala. We could have used his name for the award of the poster that will get the least amount of pussy this year. The Old Bag would have fainted when I told her I won an award.

Gravatar "Dickau, Raef, Pittsnoggle, Scalaburine and now Wally."

You forgot "the wildcard" of the Antoine trade, that "bright guy" and "big time player," Jiri Welsch, who is now playing for Malaga in the Israeli league.

Thanks for keeping this going, DC. You could write about anything and I think I'd enjoy reading it. Because you wrote this a couple days ago and because you're living in a cardboard box in CA, you may have missed that Wally has been out due to a problem with his gluteus maximus. Maybe he finally convinced Pierce to...well, I hope he's ok and praying to Ted Haggard every day.

Gravatar Thirty-seven fucking points in a half against Orlando, and some dumbshit wants to deal Pierce for Grant Hill?

Has any team ever lost 81 games?

Gravatar When is it time to call in Dr. Kervorkian? The patient needs help. Meanwhile, the rest of us must endure a colonoscopy almost every other night.

Gravatar Danny is a mastermind. He has cunningly assembled a team that can tank the season while still trying to win. Now that's genius!

Gravatar LOL Anon

Gravatar More Telfair nicknames-- feel free to use at your discretion:

Telf'aint-- as in, Telfair ain't Brandon Roy

The Keebler Telf-- alludes to Telfair's lack of size. ex. Lucky the Leprechan and the Keebler Telf made some softbatch cookies in the Old Hollow.

Gravatar hahaha, how about "Tel-fair-trade?no-we-got fucked." Put that on a jersey and sell it for 50% off!

Anon, thanks very much for the nice words and profound truths about Danny. Ah yes, Ainge, the only man who traded Antoine Walker and a #1 pick for Antoine Walker. Also, fuck, I can't believe I forgot Jiri.

JJ, 81 games is within reach as long as Coc is at the helm. I noticed he's already starting the distancing process with the press - from today's Metro West "It's almost nice that my family doesn't live with me on nights like this."

Gravatar It's almost exciting being this bad, I mean, how good of a player could the Celts get in the draft? I almost expect them to go and ruin it with a 5-game win streak at some point, because afterall, they are the Celtics. This season, I'm just not so sure. They really might be the worst team in the NBA.

Gravatar yeah, it's like last season when they could have nailed down the 6th pick with a loss and instead went out and won the last game of the season. Myassholestnx's Old Bag really got it that night.

Also, I don't think there's any doubt that these imbeciles would trade the pick for a "proven veteran." As bad as things are, I think they look at their problems in this order

1) Too much youth
2) Coc
3) Defense

Yeah, I know, but I really think they think this way. I would put the problem thusly

1) Lack of talent
2) Coc
3) Pierce oriented offense

So I figure Wyc and the boys look at the pick next year as an "asset" to put a semi-big name next to man-crush Pierce and indulge in another season of perplexing failure. They've invested way too much money to tear it down now and start over. Which, unfortunately, is exactly what they need to do.

Gravatar If we were looking at the Celtics as a medical patient, I think the following recommendations would be in order:
1. Surgically remove Pierce, trading him to the Chicago Bulls for Luol Deng, an expiring contract, and their #1 draft pick in 2007, which is exchangeable with the Knicks this year, and would give the Celtics two very high picks in this years loaded big man draft.
2. A base to head circumcision: it's way past time our Coc got trimmed.
3. Liposuction surgery eliminating the excess fat known as Scalaburine.
4. An enema to Danny, cleansing him of any further acts of bringing in broken down overpaid has beens who prevent younger, more talented players from seeing action.

If this diagnosis is not followed, the night the Celtics won and lost the #6 pick will seem like a picnic to the Old Bag, as she sleeps on her back with her big yap wide open and will severely regret doing so.

Gravatar Here's a funny thing: the top seven highest paid players on the Celts for 2006/7 season (according to HoopsHype.com):
1. Pierce
2. Theo
3. Wally
4. Vin Baker
5. Brian Scalabrine
6. Luke Jackson
7. Brian Grant
Wow! What a mess.

Gravatar Greg Oden here we come. No way Stern could screw us out of another overall pick, in loving memory of Red.

Wanker World must go!

Trade Paul out of his misery already. Paul to NY for 10 first round picks and expriring contracts! Isah is dumb enough.

Gravatar The future is Danny will trade Gerald Green, Al Jefferson, and Rajon Rondo to Utah for a bunch of overpaid, oft injured white guys.

Gravatar One funny thing to watch for tonight, if you like dark comedy, is the spin FoxNewsSportsNE puts on the game if the Celts lose. Last time, Eyore Tanguay and Donnie Walsh were very "optimistic" about the loss and that Fucking Idiot Greg Dickerson said the Magic were "dark horse" contenders to win the East, so the Celts lost to a very powerful opponent. Somewhere in a back room FoxNewsSportsNE's version of Karl Rove is saying, "Hey, we could be looking at a team that's out of playoff contention with 65 games left to go in the season. That won't be very good for ratings, even with the new Celtics Fucking Dance Team. Spin it boys!"

Gravatar It is kind of amusing that the team didn't bother to explain this failure of a season as a rebuilding year. Instead they claim to have one of the top players in the league (Pierce), Al "I am the future" Jefferson, a top second scorer in Wally, and a plethora of young players with unlimited potential.

Yet here they are, 1-6, worst record in the league, with the poor shmucks on FSNE, Ainge, and Coc attempting to justify the record with positives.

Personally I'd like to see the swoon continue. The first man to go down will obviously be the coach, it's the NBA way. A successfull season to me would be if the team was so bad that it became apparent that Pierce needed a change of scenery and the team went into an intentional rebuilding mode. It's humiliating to watch a team whose pre-season goals are to win the 8th seed and get shat on by LeBron, while earing the 16th pick in the draft so they can select another project.

Gravatar I wonder if Gerald "The Genius" Green can even spell potential, let alone understand it.

Gravatar Brutal, JJ. You know he can't. But that doesn't mean he won't be a good basketball player. Nobody's asking him to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. He needs to get some minutes. Who cares if he fucks up? This team isn't going anywhere anyhow. Well, on the other hand, if he fucks up, then we can no longer hide that he sucks, and then we can't trade him for that one remaining piece of the puzzle that will put this team over the hump and on its way to seventeen more championships in a row. Keep hiding him on the bench, Doc. We're on our way.

Gravatar Bill Simmons serves up some serious Celtics Doom in his espn.com column. Check it out at
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/p...=simmons/ 061115

I love the internet. No national print media would ever allow such a long column about such an insignificant team.

Gravatar It's hard for Jim to get excited about a guy too fucking dumb to gain admission to Oklahoma State University, where a pulse and brain waves are the only requirement for a scholarship.

Doesn't mitigate all of his talent, but it puts a fairly daunting cap on his potential, I think.

Gravatar Simmons article was great. I'm all for option A. Three draft picks next year plus some cap room, the only thing he didn't propose was how to rid ourselves from Scalaburine, although a new coach would hardly ever use him. Please, Danny, please do option A.

Gravatar I agree with you that it takes intelligence to excel at sports, but I don't necessarily think it's the same kind of intelligence that gets a person into college. I'd like to see Gerald get a chance because I think we already know what we get from say, Tony Allen, who coincidentally, actually went to Oklahoma State and, as far as I can tell, is a fucking idiot. The problem with Green is that he's so young that he could suck for the next three years and still be too young to write off. I think it may have been a mistake to draft a guy that can't contribute in the foreseeable future. Are the Celts going to extend his contract after next year (isn't that option time?) if he still hasn't played? Is he going to want to stay on a team that won't give a him a chance and has no chance of winning? Is he just trade bait to begin with? No one really knows what to think of him because no one, including Danny, knows what the FUCK Danny is trying to do with this team. A lot of people, though, including Bill Simmons, still think he's got the goods.

Gravatar one word conspicuously absent from the Simmons piece: "Wyc." No mention of the fact that the Telfuck trade was a $ saver, nor anything about Wyc's continued refusal to trade Pierce. So it's lovely and all that Simmons is finally seeing the light, but he still fails to put the share of blame on his buddy Wyc. Also, Simmons knows about us here and it pisses me off that he doesn't acknowledge in any way that his ideas (Bulls trade, tanking for Oden, starting over with real lottery talent) were things all of us were saying last year while he was busy writing 900 words on how wonderful Paul Pierce is. I don't expect that he'd plug CelticsDoom'ers (although getting the word "tittyfuck" on ESPN would be a triumph) or any of the few brave non-Koolaid posters on other boards, but he might have the common courtesy to acknowledge that some fans have been advocating this for awhile. I got no beef with Simmons, I think he's an entertaining writer, but he's been as big an apologist as any in the Wyc era. But still, Anon's point is the best of them all - "I love the internet. No national print media would ever allow such a long column about such an insignificant team." Indeed!

As for Gerald Green, he's clearly a dummy, but he's got an amazing jump shot and I don't see the point in not playing him if we suck anyway. I think he could realistically develop into a decent off the bench scorer, so why not give him some minutes over the likes of Inmate 42?

Gravatar FYI, Jackie McMullen and Nonny Walsh ripping on Telfailure in the pregame.

Walsh: Well, Jackie, you say Telfair is an "offense first" point guard. I say he's an "offense only" point guard.

McMullen: Well, yeah, basically the same thing...It's a big problem.

Gravatar True, Doc. Gerald doesn't have to be a brain surgeon to be a good NBA player, and it's a good damn thing. It's time to play him and determine what his ceiling is. I suspect it's a good bit lower than the Kool-Aid dumbshits think.

And in Gerald's defense, I don't think he's got the rap sheet trifecta working like Inmate #42 - who should have been shitcanned by the Celtics long ago. I'm no Iverson advocate, but the Kool-Aid dumbasses who cite Iverson's off-the-court trouble as proof the Celtics don't want him conveniently forget that Aggie Allen's matching him felony for felony.

Gravatar Regarding felonies, I'm waiting to see if there's an investigation into the Fabolous shooting. While Telfair is certainly innocent until proven otherwise, the fact that he called a "family member" after the theft of his necklace and immediately prior to the shooting does not preclude his and his family member's involvement in the shooting, as Bassy and Danny would like us to believe.

Anyhow, who cares? The Celts played well last night, and we should acknowledge that even here. Perk shut down the middle, and Gomes was everywhere. Pierce's shot was falling. It was good game all around. Even Bassy played a little defense in the second half. And Scal was pleasantly nearly non-existent.

Gravatar Ownership ass-fucker Bill Simmons is now advocating for a Pierce trade?????

What a cock sucker.

While I’m glad the worm has turned, it’s enraging that this unfunny, blow with the wind, dickface has come to this conclusion 2 ½ years after Chestnutt and I did.

Gravatar couldn't have said it better myself Jerky.

Gravatar Can anyone here tell me exactly what happened this summer? Was Boozer for Old Man Theo/Al really on the table? Was this just an internet rumor? Was it something Danny shot down? Something Utah shot down? It's making me sick thinking that we have to endure Al's downward spiral when we could've had a young player that can actually play.

Also last night's game reaffirmed my worst fear, this team just might be mediocre enough to finish ahead of the true rebuilding teams and land right in the middle of the lottery, where we can add yet another player who won't help turn this team around.

On the bright side Perkins looked mean and Gomes continues to play well. I am saddened by the news that Roy will miss Telfailure -vs- Roy I due to this heel injury, would've made for some interesting discussion.

Gravatar It was nice to see Perk treat the Pacers like rag dolls, but on most nights against most veteran teams (was Cousey beeing ironic the other night when he kept referring to the Magic as the veteran team?) Perkins fouls out of that game in 15 minutes of action and all that clutching and grabbing that the Celtics were doing results in alot of trips to the free throw line for the Pacers.

They weren't calling much in that first half.

One win does not a season make despite the glowing from Mike Gorman in the 4th quarter last night. You'd think the Celts had just wrapped up home court for the entire playoffs after that win by the way the FSN crew was carrying on at the end of the game. Because of their own fears of irrellevance sadly none of the media that surrounds the team seems to realized the Celtics would be better off winning 20 games this year.

I still have hope.

The Celtics have Coc at the helm and Ainge as the GM. If they get close to becoming a .500 team because of the youth then they'll make a trade for Mike Doleac or Brent Barry.

It's only one win, don't lose hope of a top lottery pick just yet. Gasol will come back, Phoenix will go on a run and that leaves the Celtics, Toronto and Charlotte to duke it out for the NBA basement. Although Rondo is really fun to watch and could be a real good player, any neutral observer would pick those teams point gaurds and big men over the Celtics.

It's all up to Pierce, is he suddenly going to become the guy to make everyone around him better for 82 games? I doubt it.

Don't worry the Celts are lottery bound with one of the worst records in the league.

Gravatar Is it even possible for Danny to trade Pierce after all the tinkering he's done and all the smoke he's blown up everyone's ass? Wouldn't that be like an admission of failure and result in an insta-firing?

Gravatar yeah Jerky! Next he'll come up with the brilliant idea that we should have drafted Marcus Williams. Unreal.

Willie, it's extraordinary, even in the throes of a .333 start, the belief that time and a spare part player will transform this team, persists. The shame will be if we don't get the #1 pick, and instead have another one of these "bad but not the worst" seasons and get a mid-upper lottery pick, missing out on Oden or Noah, or whatever impact type player is out there. But a blowout victory over a hollow and heartless Indiana team means nothing in the grand scheme of things. We're looking like a high 20's to low 30's win team, and that is the kind of mediocrity that breeds more of itself. Wyc and co better get it in their heads that Oden will sell more tickets over the next five years than this Pierce led disaster, and even if we're not the worst team in the league, we better start acting like it.

EJ - yeah, that Boozer rumor got less hype than the Iverson one, but I thought I heard that the owners didn't want to take on his contract (which, in fairness, might be the right call in the long run). Who knows? The killer is still the nixed Pierce for Chris Paul, which will haunt this franchise for the next ten years. And I agree with you completely, a Pierce trade at this point is an admission of complete failure and I can't imagine that coming to pass. My guess is Ainge will make a desperation trade at the deadline for some "name," probably for our pick, Jefferson or Gomes, and Gerald Green (who he apparently would give away). And we will all rightfully freak out.

Gravatar listen to the Ainge interview with Chad Ford that was posted. Ainge says "we tried to trade Paul [Pierce] but now he's signed to a max deal so we can't..."

that's the type of shit that is so fucking mind numbing. If you aint gonna stand up to Wyc then you might as well step down.

Do you think any other team's GM in the league would so nakedly admit that he has no control and no faith in what is supposed to be his 'franchise player'?

Gravatar No question there were some good signs in the game last night.
But Jesus, it's about fucking time. Either Perkins begins to make some meaningful contributions or he's Jim Fucking Ard.

I agree with the folks above: This team is going to be just horseshit enough to earn a pick that won't make any difference whatsoever.

Gravatar A postscript:
This is one moment when I wish I hadn't told Clark to shove his blog up his ass. It would be SUCH fun to register under Dubya and start ragging the Kool-Aid assclowns over there with some good "Stay the Course" riffs.

Gravatar BTW,JJ, after all your (our) ranting about being banned from that other blog, I find myself (temporarily?) unbanned. Now, of course, I watch my Ps and Qs. As difficult as it is, I never use the phrase "fucking pussies" there, or say stuff like, "Wyc was buttfucking Danny who was buttfucking Doc in a sort of choo-choo train assfuck threesome," or call Danny a racist for smearing the characters of half-a-dozen black players and trading them for half-a-dozen white players, so they seem to have allowed me to post again.

Gravatar Hahahahahaha.

That board wouldn't be any fun if you couldn't fuck with the Kool-Aid drinkers.

Final comment on the subject: I wasn't banned. I asked for my account's termination because Jeffie's fucking moderators were hassling anyone who didn't believe that Banner 17 is right around the corner.

Jim doesn't hang with idiots.

Gravatar I'm going on record right now: The Celtics will win the Keith Van Horn sweepstakes next year.

Gravatar "Wyc was buttfucking Danny who was buttfucking Doc in a sort of choo-choo train assfuck threesome."

That deserves to be engraved in stone. Holy shit. The ante has been upped!

Gravatar I accidently stumbled across this site and being a C's fan decided to take a look.

You cunts owe me 2 minutes of my life back. What a fucking waste of space this site is......a fucking joke.

Gravatar Two minutes of your life, Will? Ok, I'll swallow a penny and send you the piece of shit it comes out in.

Gravatar Why overpay that miserable ass, Anon? The way I figure it, he owes money. Wasn't Will Roberts the goofy little fuck in Lost in Space that was like the Eddie Haskell of outer space? Go fuck yourself, you Space Case, I bet you think your shit don't stink. I wish I could tattoo a picture of the Old Bag on your cock, they can write peoples names on grains of rice, so it might be possible.

Gravatar hahaha, it's like when they put the bible on a stamp or the constitution on the head of a pin.

I think "will roberts" is Bill Simmons. Wow, only 2 minutes to ascertain how stupid we are. Too bad it's going to take 73 more games for him to realize what a moron he is.

Gravatar It's just amazing that Isaiah hasn't fired himself. These guys play like a high-school team.

Gravatar Hey, we can't fall silent just because they've won three in row. You gotta love the way Gomes fryed Carol Channing and Chicken Curry. Curry's indifference to rebounds that don't simply fall off the backboard into his hands is a thing of beauty.

Gravatar Watch Simmons change his mind again now that we've won against one disinterested team and two very bad teams.

Damnit, we're fucking up Oden.

Gravatar I really, really hope I'm wrong, but I feel our recent win streak is going to put us in the worst of all worlds; just good enough to get another mid round lottery pick in a loaded big man draft. An Oden, Noah, or Durant on this team could make us a viable contender for years to come. Heck, as has been suggested, trading Pierce for a lottery pick could get us two of those players. That old television show Thirtysomething could describe the Celtic win total for the forseeable future. I feel worse now than I did at 1-6 and a chance to maybe hit lottery gold.

Gravatar Then Will, you probably belong with the ignorant shitheads at Real GM or Celtics Blog.

Thanks for dropping by.

Gravatar And it's always nice to see three wins over fellow NBA irrelevants give fuel to all the "stay the course" dipshits who think Telfuck is going to morph into Bob Cousy overnight.

Gravatar 10 games into the season, 10th worst record in the league. On the bright side, that is after 7 home games and only 3 road games. Doc still can't decide who deserves minutes and who doesn't. Toronto, Milwaukee, Chicago, Minnesota, and Phoenix are all virtual locks to finish ahead of Boston. I am literally praying for Oden, Noah, or Durantat this point. Right now I think the Celtics could easily finish as one of the five worst teams in the league, but smart money would be on them getting fucked over and not landing a top 3 pick.

Gravatar Good Signs for Ainge, bad for Odenphiles;

Celtics are ninth in scoring differential.
8th in defensive rebounding differtial.
12th in apg differtial
1st in three point field goal percentage.

Perkins has been playing like vintage Theo Ratliff on defense, maybe Dr. Neidegal performed a brain transplant deep in the bowels of the TD Banknorth Garden?

So now we have to adjust our expectations and figure that the Celtics will win around 40 games!!

They'll just sneak into the playoffs, win a game or two, and Ainge will tell us all that they are an up and coming team. No one will remember that it took Ainge to get the 4 years to get back to where they were.

Gravatar Shira Springer reports that Wally is less than 100% with a bruised gluteus.

Gravatar Pardon me, "strained gluteus"

Gravatar Since we're playing the cats tonight, it reminds me of why I hate the pilgrims so. It they'd have hunted cats instead of turkeys, we'd all be eatin' pussy for Thanksgiving.

Gravatar Alexis got me tickets for Friday's matchup against the Knicks. I will be about 10 rows back. Any messages you want me to deliver to Shits Rivers?

Gravatar Is it coincidence that the first exposure to the new Celtics cheerleaders happens at the same time that such a rash of injuries has struck all the Celtics 'bigs' forcing them to go 'small' so early in the season.

Gravatar I'm doing the Yahoo sports refresh tonight because, as you might have guessed, NBA League Pass Broadband is run by incompetent idiots who don't give a fuck. If only the Spanish Basketball League were available...

Gravatar Nobody has anything to say about that awesome game against the Bobkittens? The Celts are only one game out of first place!

Gravatar OBTW, Dr. Chestnutt and others, I was able to watch an archived version of Wednesday's exciting Celtics Bobkittens game on Thursday morning on NBA.com. I believe you only have to sign up for a free NBA.com membership to get the archived games after the fact. So, if 2+ hours of your life is of as little value as 2+ hours of my life is, you can watch this "fantastic" NBA action, albeit not live. (I do not believe the Spanish League games are available, so we must settle for the NBA.)

Gravatar I don't get it, why the fuck do people keep thinking we should have traded Paul Pierce for Chris Paul?

All Chris Paul would have done is make our crap roster look better, so we'd scrape into the 8th spot for the next decade.

Greg Oden save us now.

Gravatar Anon, what has more value, two hours+ of your life or two minutes of Will "The Pus" Roberts? No question who got the better value with their time, regurgitating the charade in Charlotte would qualify as torture under the new rules. This team reminds be of a fellow I knew named Kirby Brooks, he was just good looking enough to get laid, but always with the ugliest girl in the room. Of course, who am I to talk, I ended up with the Old Bag.

Gravatar The C's ran into a veteran team in Charlotte the other night, ie, many attended a year or more of college prior to the draft. Not a fair matchup, really.

Wallace made more 3's than Wally and played fewer minutes.

Nice job boys.......

Gravatar Driving six-inch metal spikes into both of my eyes would have been more pleasant than watching tonight's abortion of a performance.

This team sucks. It's horrible. It's poorly coached, and it's populated with young players who aren't worth a shit.

Ainge must go, followed by the idiot he hired to coach this team.

Gravatar Well, among the many things I have been wrong about, I didn't think the crowd would boo the Celts because I thought most people back there were buying Danny's "Don't expect them to win until they win" ploy. I'm glad I was wrong about that. There were some hearty boobirds out there for this Knicks drubbing.

No need to worry, though. At 4-8 the Celts are still only one game out of first in the Atlantis Division, a division that many people believe actually existed at some time long ago.

Gravatar I'd like to propose a new award: The Will Roberts Phony Award, given to that pitiful individual currently in the greatest state of denial. For continually insisting that Doc and Danny are doing great jobs, the inagaural honor should go to, drum roll please, Wyc Grousbek, whose "stay the course" mindset is going to send all of us to the rubber room.

Gravatar least 21 died in an earlier blast at the Yuanhua mine in Jixi, in the north-eastern province of Heilongjiang.

Four miners managed to escape and rescuers were searching for six who were still missing, the reports said.

The Yuanhua mine is privately owned with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes, Xinhua said.

The causes of the explosions were being investigated.

A total of 3,726 miners died in more than 2,300 floods, blasts and other accidents in China's coalmines in the first 10 months of 2006.

The cold statistics highlight China's struggle to clean up the industry while trying to meet booming demand and high prices for coal, which fuels about 70 per cent of its energy consumption.

An official Communist Party report released this month noted that coalmining safety had worsened since the beginning of the winter heating season. It said the sharp increase in demand for coal often caused mine managers to breach safety laws.

Xinhua had said on Friday that authorities had sacked two local government chiefs and their deputies after a series of coalmine accidents in the northern province of Shanxi in the past month that killed 55 people.

Wally Szczerbiak - With his technical foul the other night, Wally proved he has developed an evil streak which makes him an ideal choice to be the “enforcer” type that this team so sorely needs. I never knew he had it in him to sink to the depths of depravity represented by “having a surprised look on his face after a foul and then immediately apologising for it”.

Tony Allen - When the Celtics drafted Tony Allen, they wanted him to become a lock-down defender. Instead, Allen is well on his way to becoming a locked-up offender. If it wasn’t for his A.D.D., he would have basically become everything that they had asked for from him.

Gerald Green - Although Green hasn’t played much yet, Rivers insists that he has performed really well in practice. This is in contrast to Allen Iverson, a perennial all-star and potential hall-of-fame candidate who is renowned for not putting in much of an effort in practice. Therefore, in that respect, Gerald Green is clearly better than Allen Iverson. Let me repeat that - Gerald Green is clearly better than Allen Iverson. High praise indeed.

He denies all wrongdoing in the case, which is due to resume. He is charged with 13 other people, including British lawyer David Mills, the estranged husband of British Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell.

Berlusconi, who overcame prostate cancer in the 1990s, said his collapse had been due to a combination of tiredness, antibiotics he was taking after a knee operation and the heat at the venue.

His doctor, Umberto Scarpagnini, said immediately after the event that Berlusconi had lost consciousness "for a few seconds due to great fatigue and the extreme heat".

In a message addressing his arch-rival as "Dear Silvio", Prime Minister Romano Prodi expressed his concern.

It's better than "Perkins has only been in the league for four years; we have to give him time."

Poor fucker has nothing better to do.

I hope you have some time for some porn in between these interesting international stories.

I need some more info on the developing situation in Lebenon, please.

Poor bastard, I almost feel sorry for him.
