This means the Democrats are in full control-if the economy doesn't "turn around" and if the international mess isn't cleaned up, they will be blamed. Almost not worth it.

It's not rocket science - paper ballot, golf pencil, mark an 'X', and only an 'X', beside your preferred candidate's name, make no other marks on the ballot whatsoever, leave the booth. Any ballot that fails to meet these ridiculously simple standards in any manner is tossed into the "too-stupid-to-vote" pile and is not counted. Count the remaining ballots by hand and lock them up. The result is a clearly defined winner and no court cases.
Or choose option B and go with machinery and mind readers to decide the "intentions" of the voter who managed to produce an ambiguous ballot. A couple hundred days' worth of legal wrangling and the bills to show for it are a small price to pay for democracy, I suppose.
Al Franken, in all his years in comedy, never created anything as funny as this has been.
