Applying your hermetic logic, surely the Liberals are a heartless, unscrupulous, self-serving, pandering party. And the NDP? They're operating in a parallel world that needn't concern us.

The glowing descriptions of young Khadr by people who talked to him remind me of women who pursue and marry violent murderers or habitual criminals during their prison terms. ie There will always be someone gullible enough to believe that any given criminal is an upstanding person. And who better qualified to be duped than a progressive -- totally oblivious of human nature?
At the wrapup of the BCHRT hearing today, Faisal Joseph apparently described Steyn's writing in America Alone as “venom clothed in the language of reason.”
That exactly describes Dr. D's latest slur against the CPC and, indeed, much of what passes for so-called intellectual discourse here.

Here's the thing (and Dawg, I'm trying very hard to live up to my promise re the furniture) it doesn't matter whether he's the purest straight up terrorist ever. It doesn't matter if he's a nice boy. It doesn't matter that he'd going blind or that they have tortured him (because using someone as a mop? That sounds kind of outside of how I'd like CF troops treated if they were captured, and way beyond the bounds of the GC).
None of this matters.
He's a Canadian citizen who was a child at the time of his capture.
And the Canadian government, two of them, from two different parties, HAVE DONE NOTHING TO HELP HIM IN THE LEAST.

And another thought, you liar, if you're going to go with "lefties support terrorists" you should a) man up and say it and b) try it on someone who doesn't think that the CF needs it's funding doubled and believes that sometimes you need to kill people to keep other people safe.
