Let's have a little truth in advertising here. 600k Google hits does not equate with 600k blogs, and a good number appear to be left wing or radical black sites or news reports like this.

My point was evidently too subtle. Race is the issue, no matter where Americans stand on it. The very fact that Biden is now Obama's running mate indicates its salience, as well as the prevalence of the n-word.
I had hoped that, as I once put it, the Civil War was over. But it seems there's a pretty big hop, skip and jump to Appomattox.

Darn. I was going pick that nit.
Anyway, the occurrence of the "n-word" doesn't come close to capturing the full spectrum in which the racist qualities of this campaign manifest themselves. I have been astonished to learn just how sophisticated Americans are at talking obliquely about the issue.

Nit, indeed. I've been through quite a few of them now, and when it isn't people calling Obama the n-word, it's reports of other people calling him the n-word.

I just despair thinking about all the young Conservatives, all over teh Internets, going unmentored and unshepherded as the wiser, more thoughtful Conservatives obsess over every last love bead, every unwaxed leg and every whiff of patchouli the Left clings to.

Hair transplants, plagiarism...what's not to like?
Your man is not quite "the change we have been waiting for".
I fear, my friend, that we are watching the beginning of the end of "Hope".
(And can you imagine Hilly picking Joe Biden? No, neither can I.)
I suspect Obama is to McCain as Dion is to Harper: Heaven sent.
