Bill Moyer of PBS did a piece that proved police were provoking in the US, it went to court.
I find it interesting some Canadians have a difficult time believing our police would engage in the same tactics.
It will also be interesting to see what else the CEP has, I know CUPE was looking for more pictures and information.

I was just thinking, if the US military was at Montebello, maybe they were the provocateurs. But then, they usually use bombs on civilians, not rocks.
On the other hand, one of the guys has duck tape all over his legs and shoes. Must be Canadian.

I can't say that I am shocked by this, but what does shock me is how our government's and police forces manage to maintain their legitimacy after everything they do that flies in the face of decency, morality, and the laws of this country!
If this proves correct (and sadly we may never find out) people should be marching in the streets with outrage.
Sadly most people are more concerned with whats happening with the Blue Jays or on American Idol to give it a second thought.

Not as precise as might be desired but he's there. I haven't done anything to it as nothing I tried improved it.
Tried something further. Downloaded and converted the youtube flash video into an avi file and ran it through movie maker so I could look at individual frames.
Not as much improvement as I might have hoped for but I also found a partial face for the little guy who shoved Coles at one point.

You, dawg, have the best stills of the briefly exposed faces of the provocateurs I've yet seen. Did you notice they are also wearing matching bandanas? I suspect that was so they wouldn't be billy-clubbed once the action was provoked - if so it implicates all the uniformed sureté members, and with them their bosses.
This makes the 'Sgt. Pepper Spray' incident look tame.

Nbob, I noticed that, too. What a joke. I'm not sure the cops are known for being particularly gentle with the cuffs after they're forced to subdue a threatening individual. If that was supposed to look like an arrest, their choreographer sucks badly.

The juxtaposition between this tucked away post and the OCitizen's Editorial is quite jarring.
