Dr. Forbush-
Thanks for stopping by my blog; I wanted to return the favor. I checked out the Falwell story- I must confess he's not my favorite character! It reminded my of one my most burning pet peeves: the desire of certain Christians to confine "Christianity" into the boundaries of what is clearly nothing more than one little piece of American sub-culture! Nonetheless, I have to acknowledge that these other Christians are "family"... Like I always tell people: I have the hardest time believing in heaven, because the assortment of people who are supposed to be there would never get along!

Doc,
Thanks for this. Indeed a very satisfying piece. I'd laugh if the issue wasn't so serious.
The other day I was talking to a Catholic friend of mine about religion, and he took the chance to complain about the Church that he is forced to attend.

His previous church while he lived in Singapore, on the other hand, taught that Jesus sacrificed himself for the sinners. That they are all not worthy.
I can't say I can really subscribe to either of these, but heck, these two churches claim to preach the same thing. What went w

I googled Ian Frazer and found he had written a story about an indian-girl doing a dance before a basketball-game, subduing the opponent team. But when challenged, he had to admit he had not done research abouth the truth of it. And it was not ´true´ at all, it was just som pep-yalk befor the game.
I would say he did quite a blunder there.
(You write some intereting things. Myself, I live in Sweden.)
