I've often thought that abortions would not be considered in a healthy society. Unfortunately, we only have the one we live in.

I've always argued that no one can make that decision for a pregnant woman - no matter what his or her beliefs are - because it is impossible for anyone to put themselves in that position unless they've already been there.
that is a good point because if a woman never bonds with her child she can still get rid of it after birth and without the imperial government getting all over her vagina about it

I have had a chance to read many of your posts and I find them to be not only reasonable, but quite insightful as well. I only wonder why we cannot have a larger Rebluplican base in our country that did not eschew intellectualism and thoughtful people in their party such as yourself. I am, of course, not saying that you are resented by your fellow Republicans; obviously I would not know. However, you seem to be a member of a dying bread in your party--the cultural libertarian who possesses a strong capitalist ideology. I suppose this species of Republican intellectuals is tantamount to the type of politicians referred to as the Northeast Republicans. I come, originally, from Pittsburgh and I always had a great deal of respect for Sen. Spector; although, I cannot stand his junior colleague, who actually grew up within 10 miles of where I was raised. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your brief description of the feedback mechanism that causes the both the media and the public to have a deleterious effect upon one another. There is certainly a lot of truth in this insight and, if I was less intellectually honest, I would take your idea and run with it. Thanks for your comments, and I have provided on my little pathetic site your link with a message encouraging the leftwing audience that I have attracted to check out your writings, because they are certainly worth careful consideration.
