Religion should not be taught in school other than to expose students to the fact that many different types of beliefs are practiced abd to teach acceptance.
I wrote a blog months ago about having to stand outside in the hallway every morning in the fourth grade because I refused to pray. That was close to 45 years ago and I still am not a Christian. I also never say "under God" if I say the pledge.
Separation of church and state is the best protection the thousands of Americans who are not Christian have against forced religious indoctrination.
Intelligent Design is just another attempt to indoctronate and gain of control non-Christian children.
I find all of this upsetting.

Teaching about religion and practicing religion are two different things. People who claim they want to teach about religion actually want students to practice their religion in the long run. They just do what they can to manipulate the system to their end goal.

Learning to think? That's an elitist attitude.

Ryan,
So you are against teaching students to think for themselves because it is elitist?
