Dr. Forbush Thinks

Gravatar “an honest Used Car salesman won’t be able to make a living in the business for very long.”

“the fact that they are most likely to be ripped off by a used car salesman “

Why must you bore the reader with senseless prattle?

I believe the only American President to hail from a non-elite background other than Herbert Hoover is Bill Clinton, son of a used car salesman.

Furthermore, fraud is illegal. To insinuate that it is common practice is an illegal form of defamation:

“the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may harm the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government or nation.”

Perhaps you are aware of the libel laws of this great nation and consequently aware that you are provoking lawsuits from used car salesmen and their professional organizations as well as corporations dealing in the sale of used autos such as CARMAX.

Very good.

Now, how exactly, sir, do you justify your transition from the general topic of defaming businessmen already facing a vague societal prejudice to directly libeling the President of the United States?

Gravatar Douglass,

Of course, the key is dishonesty. If a person omits the facts or isn't forthright about problems that would be better left unsaid they generally are left unsaid. There is nothing wrong with omitting things that you can plausably deny. And, if a used car salesman or the president can get up in front of the people and believably tell us that they didn't really know all the facts, then they become the best politician or used car salesman....

Plausable denability as Reagan's defense went....

Gravatar choice comedy,

'dr' for-Bush.
