I would say listening to the radio on the move is always going to be annoyingly troublesome in terms of reception, especially using a little gadget. You'd probably be better off getting a cheap mp3 player (maybe with FM radio just in case) and listen to podcasts instead. The cheap jobs use single aaa batteries so if you carry some spares you won't get stuck without somewhere to plug in a charger - that's my 2 cents |

Get one with a decent aerial or you will never get any reception. |

Go in a car. The radio is brilliant in that |

Don't some phones have radios on them? Depending how old your phone is (ie when it might need replacing anyway), it might be nearly as cheap to get a combined gadget as 2 new ones. |

Not a recommendation for an actual radio, but http://www.hotukdeals.com has some very handy cheapo deals for anything and everything. Might come in useful. |

You should really get some of these too - they're absolutely the best earbuds I've ever used and have excellent sound isolation |
