Wonder whether the dots have already been connected behind the scenes regarding the Clinton administration's willful neglect and the picture being saved for us when we're less distracted by winning wars- say, in '07 during a Hill candidacy? It's more likely, though, that the real pre 9-11 situation is known but not provable with so many former officials unwilling to disgorge what they know.
Islamistpsychos are responsible for attacking us, but our government is responsible for protecting us to the best of its ability. Whether the Clinton administration averted its eyes and attention from unmistakable warning signs (um, other than the WTC bombing, various nasty explosions, killings, terrorist training camp activity, illicit money transactions and hostile Osama declarations that took place in the 90s and were reported in the press) is important to be known by an electorate that could potentially put many of the same Dems back in charge of our country and "national security" in '06 and '08.
Dr. Sanity, you've nailed together impressive picture frame, but the facts to support your view are absent. I hope you do not, at this time, take it as "truth", for that would put you in the same bucket with today's wildest conspiracy theorists.
There are questions that can be addressed to resolve this matter: what did Berger take, how do we know that Clinton didn't know, what checks and balances were in place. Even if no facts are uncovered, if the checks and balances were removed or never there, it is a score for this theory. But for now, its just a hypothetical structure that merits further investigation.

I put it forward as a possible theory that explains the facts that we know. It awaits investigation and comfirmation. I hope further information that either disproves this or not will be forthcoming. I know it could be completely wrong. We'll see.
There are some facts that support this theory already. The timing of Berger's escapade at the archives is interesting (circumstantial, yes), but the fact that he "lost" some documents is vey incriminating. Perhaps he needs to go to Gitmo and get tortured by listening to Harry Potter and/or being forced to read the Koran? Maybe then we'll get the truth out of him.
