It is a matter of culture. Information is power- and information shared is power shared- which is of course, antithetical to the DC way of doing business. Access is a lot easier with exclusivity.

Until that culture is changed (and it flourishes because of the great 'I'll CYA if you CMA'), we'll have more of the same.

Given the very real war on terror, the assault on the CYA technocrats is just as important. In fact, it should have priority.

Shaffer is very believable and as far as I can see has no reason to lie. But OTOH, just because I can't see it doesn't mean he isn't. But JPod is a good skeptic and I think we must listen to Shaffer and see where this entire thing ends up. What's of most interest to me is the 9/11 Commission and what Sandy Berger might have done to possible evidence. When will we hear about him, I wonder?

Sigh. When it comes to war, if we want to win then we need leaders a little more ruthless than Clinton and Co. Thinking that those who explicitly state they want to kill us as a nation require "due process" is suicidal.

Well, the damn definitely broke today, here are all the stories and blog sites with new information:

Suggest you read the DelcoTimes editorial, the junkyard Blog post, the TKS CNN transcripts and Rick Moran's posts. So much happening it is hard to ingest.

Enjoy.

Thanks AJStrata! It's hard to keep up with everything when you have a day job! But this story seems to be getting some legs.

OKAY!!!

Anyone who thinks Berger should be on a pillory being savagely interrogated about this by the media, especially in light of all the absolutely relentless attacks on the Bush Admin over the nonexistent 'crimes' of (P)Lamegate, Raise Your Hand...

No, they don't have an agenda.... They aren't biased... Nawwww...
