I wonder what in the character of many human beings requires someone else to be responsible for their own failings? It appears that many need to blame the Jews for their own insecurities. The Blacks need Whites to blame. Women need men to blame. Latinos need Americanos to blame. Blacks need Koreans to blame. Democrats need everyone else to blame. The poor need the rich to blame and it seems that most need someone to blame.
I never worry about not being needed because women or some victim group will always have me or someone like me to take responsibility for their inadequacies. We the blamees are very important.
That is why I never worried about the statement that " Women need men like a fish needs a bicycle." Who else are they going to blame if men are not around? Surely they are not going to take responsibility for their own actions?
It would seem to me that most of these people and groups would begin to see that they are slaves to those they hate because it controls their lives.
Years ago I found out what the emotion HATE does to you. Until I realized that by hating this individual I was giving control of my life to this individual. It was I who had the bad thoughts, the bad stomach and the hurting life, not the object of my hate. I have never hated anyone or thing since.
I like being in control of what and who I am. Only you can allow others to control you.
The answer to why one is here is to be the best soul that you can be and that just is not going to happen if one is consumed with hate and the desire to blame others.
Responsibility for one's own action is the key to life.

How long could someone live with himself if he, as an adult, admitted that he was incomplete, incompetent, improvident, inadequate, and a parasite?

I think the blame game is a futile attempt at preservation of what little self they do have. Unfortunately, they give up that little fragment of self in the attempt. They don't exist in any real way so they don't want anyone else to exist either.

The lights are on, the radio is playing but no one is at home.

It is a sad fact of human nature that (generally) the more you give people, the less grateful they are. This is not just the attitude of Those Others, but of all of us.

In a small way, look how hard it is for most people to accept a compliment without disowning it. We need very much to believe that we deserve what we receive.
