It's been obvious that the Arab World could not care less about the Palestinians other than to keep them in perpetual "victimhood".

The Dems do the same thing with African-Americans in the U.S....they need them as "victims" to keep their ideology alive. Heaven forbid one becomes successful in his own right. (Condi Rice/Clarence Thomas etc.)

Great post. Agree with the psychology even though not sure when and where or if it 'all' applies and caught myself thinking. You/we are preaching to the chior. What needs to be done is some serious killing of enemies and breaking of their will as well as some serious deportations as well as ruthlessly portecting the oil barrel of which is the industrialized world's nation state's individual national security.

Understanding the enemy does not encourage what needs to be done and neither does it enlighten those that have no understanding. Please do not think this a negative response, am trying to be rational yet agree with understanding human nature.

We need that good old fashioned hate the evil enemy in order to kill when needed lest or jumanity get in the way and we are compromized. No doubt my view academic but I have not read that post. Am I screwed up?

Exactly. Other than oil, they produce nothing, and they couldn't even pump it without Western technology. Everything they own was invented in the West.

All of their governments are tyranies of one sort or another, and their societies are dysfunctional.

Add to it medieval Islam, and the average Arab concludes that the fault is within him; he hasn't been a strong enough Muslim. Allah is punishing the Arabs and in order to right the situation he must adopt an ever more fundamentalist strain of Islam.

Narcissism is an inexpensive short-term solution to the dissonance between what they think they should have and what they actually do. It is expensive in the long run.

Honor is the opposite: it is a high-cost response in the short run, but cheaper in the long run. If your life sucked and your Jewish neighbor's didn't, wouldn't it look easier at first to blame him instead of digging a school foundation? Once you start digging, you have admitted that the good life is a long way away, and that you will likely not live to see it. That is psychologically a very expensive thing to admit.
