Dr. Sanity,
The leftoid neo-Marxists have made up their [small] minds, signed the lease, and closed the deal with the Devil; there is no turning back for the great majority of them. They have cast their lot with our enemies because they, too, are our enemies. I honestly believe that attempting to "deprogram" virulent, caustic life-haters such as these leftoids and Islamofascists is a waste of time, energy and capital.
Soon, we will have to clean them from our midst. Gang of One | Email | Homepage | 09.22.07 - 9:41 am | #

I agree with Gang of One: They too "are our enemies."
I like this part in the post:
"The truth is that today's left isn't antiwar so much as they are anti-reality; and, while the American public--like all sane people--want to live in peace, they don't want to surrender to a bunch of Islamic fanatics who are determined to kill them no matter what."
I'm doing my bit as well to expose the left's hatred and lunacy. Here's the latest entry my "Blog Watch" series:

I find the latest attempt by democrats to dictate deployment times as particularly disgusting.
This is how they support our troops? By trying to build another victim pod and coddle their votes? I suspect most of our warriors, by definition, are where they are because they know the rewards of a disciplined adult life, and wont buy the antics of people offering to "make it easier" on them.

I've found the best way to deal with these people is to just laugh, point out just one simple fact (any fact will do) which will be immediately rejected, then simply tell them they are irreversably stupid (unable to learn) because any fact that may conflict with their skewed world view bounces off, never to be cosidered again. Then walk away, smiling. Mark J | Email | Homepage | 09.22.07 - 10:50 am | #

"The truth is that today's left isn't antiwar so much as they are anti-reality"
What a nice way to describe the Arabization of of the left.
Reality and truth are of little import to psychopaths.
The Arabs (and the Palestinians in particular) are so vested in their own psychopathy that they cannot back down from their delusions even when confronted with reality.
In their world, they are to blame for nothing and Jews are to blame for all ills. They believe the Israelis have deliberately subjected them to AIDS, poisoned water, milk, foods, toys and medicines. They believe the Israelis have developed laboratory diseases that affects only Arabs- and that is only a partial list.
The left is no different.
Substitute anyone who disagrees with them, George Bush and Karl Rove for Israelis and Jews and the psychopathy becomes clear and evident.
Kos, MoveOn, Jane Hamsher, et al, become MEMRI stars, spewing all kinds of bizarre, racist and bigoted ideologies, eagerly lapped up by willing psychopaths, desperate that they be regarded as relevant and worthy of attention.
And it is to the feet of these psychopaths the Democrats come crawling. Sigmund, Carl and Alfred | Email | Homepage | 09.22.07 - 11:24 am | #

Libs don't plan this out. This rotten generation has gone through life committing increasingly shocking transgressions. Like little addicts, they want a bigger rush every time. And now they've found it. They're siding with evil itself.
America is like a family being terrorized by an out of control teenage daughter who cuts herself and gets knocked up by a psychopathic boyfriend. You know how it ends. The boyfriend robs the house and murders the parents.
Bad news libs, he kills the girl too. That's you. bulbasaur | Email | Homepage | 09.22.07 - 12:52 pm | #

My lib friend was just beaming the other night over beers and finally informed me he'd ordered a new Toyota Prius hybrid car.
Don't get me wrong, i get a kick out of getting new wheels with that new car smell just like every other red blooded American. I just don't ever recall trying to describe the car buying experience as "uplifting". LOL SteveH | Email | Homepage | 09.22.07 - 1:55 pm | #

I read an article the other day in which Honda and Nissan are very pissed about the Prius. They also have their own hybrids whose sales are in the tank. Apparently, Toyota recognized that, unlike the Honda and Nissan versions, a hybrid had to be very distinctive looking. Toyota apparently researched that the main buyers for the Prius did not care so much about the mileage as they did about making a statement as to how "cool" they are to be driving a "save the planet" car. Hence the distinctive styling and the booming sales. Gotta love capitalism! MM | Email | Homepage | 09.22.07 - 5:27 pm | #

I find it very unlikely that Honda sales are "in the tank" considering that Honda sells all the Civic Hybrids it makes (at least they did through 2006). The fact is that the Civic Hybrid is exactly like the regular Civic except for the engine(s), battery pack and dashboard. And given that the Honda Civic is consistently rated at the very top for reliability and safety (as is the Civic Hybrid), there is no reason not to buy a Civic Hybrid instead if you're already willing to dish out the $2500 to $3000 premium for it and keep it for several years to make it back.
The reason the Prius sells more is because it is – or at least until recent was -- the only true hybrid (i.e. it can run on the electric motor only), is the most well known because it has been on the market the longest (if you discount the original Honda Insight) and gets the best gas mileage. Regardless, the reason no company sells a lot of hybrids is the simple fact that the premium is too high and, with exception of the Civic and Prius, there is no way to recover it unless gas hits more than $4 or $5 a gallon consistently.
I’m sure the reason many people buy Hybrids, especially the Prius (aka Pious), is for environmental reasons (your point). Unfortunately, they are just fooling themselves. The environmental cost of producing and using any hybrid is higher than that of an SUV because the production of the batteries from raw materials on up is extremely environmentally unfriendly. BTW, I know several people with hybrids and with one exception they all bought the cars for economic reasons. With the initial tax break and lower gas costs, the premium is paid off in around 3 ½ to 4 years. Anonymous | Email | Homepage | 09.22.07 - 7:05 pm | #

In spite of the almost daily neo-Marxist propaganda; the the unbelievable bias and distortion of the MSM; and the regular appeasement of evil and betrayal of freedom exhibited by the left, the majority of Americans are still capable of recognizing reality when it confronts them: (per Dr Sanity)

Until we:
1. Close air, sea and land borders permanently
2. Close our mosques and madrassas (sp?. Revoke citizenship of Moslem-Americans. Get rid of CAIR, et al.
3. Deport every single illegal alien
4. Outlaw La Raza and Aztlan, etc.
we are just kidding.
This right-wing drivel demonizing the left is merely a source of amusement. Our Moslems and aliens are the enemy within. Let their leaders abroad speak here but get rid of them! R Moshki | Email | Homepage | 09.22.07 - 8:57 pm | #
