Wright's success is dependent on cursing the country that allows him to make a living preaching garbage. People like him are noxious. I object to the belief that the demented left are intellectually bankrupt. To be bankrupt of something, you have to have had that something and lost it. I question that there was or is any intellect in them to have lost in the first place. Having an intellect means a lot more than simply having fleeting images, voices, and vague emotionally based notions copied from endless significant others passing through ones awareness. If there is any visage of an intellect in them they clearly aren't using it.

Crazily...chaotic-ly, the World is haveing it's conversation on race. In fact, since I can remember, we've never stopped talking about it.

The UN's 1990's Conference on Racism (Johannesburg S.A) never really adjourned; it has been permanently convened, behind closed doors, in Chicago, Il, USA - and with some very curious folks attending.

(As I recall, Bush recalled the U.S.'s delegate from the Johannesburg conference 'round the time a Gulf Sheik began lecturing us on slavery.)

I make the connection to Kenyan, Kofi Annan's, infamous U.N. "conference" for a good reason: Obama's "church", the American Democrat(ic) party he aims to represent, and the UN's deliberate anti-American initiatives (underwritten largely by our global economic competitors) all share the same end: weaken and indemnify "the American Hegemon," strive to yoke our dynamo to serve a hodge-podge of transnationalists' socialist ends.

Last I checked, they call this "Dhimmitude" in the Koran.

We're just inches from putting our head through the noose. Methinks Obama's the alluring carrot!

Looks like the last "Conference" on Racism was held in Durban, S.A., and it was not in the nineties, it was in 2001. I think that was the "CON" -ference that Colin Powell walked out of.

Too bad this Islamist propaganda has the toe-hold it does in good ol' Chicago.

Obama rationalizes Wright's paranoid racism and anti-Americanism as an artifact of his generation and personal history. Yet Obama exposed his own daughters at an impressionable age to that very poison, insuring its continuation for yet another generation.

Does that sound in any way like a 'post-racial' candidate? To the contrary, it sounds like all the cynical race hustlers we've seen all our lives.

To get a flavor of "Black Liberation Theology" taught at Obama's "church," an excerpt: "The black Christ is he who threatens the structure of evil as seen in white society, rebelling against it, thereby becoming the embodiment of what the black community knows that it must become. . .

In terms of theology, they impose their own identity of black Africans upon Jesus Christ, and worship Him and Africa. It's a form of self-idolatry. The people who dreamed this stuff up must've been sold some really bad LSD by evil whitey.

obama talks alot, but his words are "aery nothings", and not in a the great tradition of Shakespeare.

That speech he gave will accomplish one thing; those who already believed in him will feel vindicated. It's all "much ado about nothing," cause he didn't even say anything--he just waffled his way around the issue. Talk about politics as usual.

I've been doing research on the McCarthy period, and the only speeches I've ever seen that transcended nothingness and get to the heart of the issue were made by Adlai Stevenson. He didn't speak to pad his election chances, he spoke what he believed and alienated voters if that's what it meant. He wasn't elected, so it's hard to say if his actions would have lived up to his words, but it was the most inspiring thing I've ever read that was said by a politican, besides the Ghettysburg Address.

By the way, has anybody told these people that Jesus was Jewish? Right there in his Genealogy in Matthew; traced right on back to King David, and through David to Judah. Even though that's the genealogy of Joseph, Luke traces the genealogy of Mary back the same way--by Jewish tradition, you married members of your tribe, so she was also of the line of Judah through David. Pretty clear that he's Jewish--he has a grand total of two non-Jewish ancestors, Ruth and Rahab, a Moabite and a Canaanite respectively, who married men of the tribe of Judah.
