Hi,
with respect to #6 "Perhaps this would be the right moment to send the memo?"
there is a comment to Vanderleun's post "Posted by: J. Spring at August 30, 2003 12:39 AM"
in which he quotes former Israeli Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg's essay "A Failed Israeli Society Collapses While Its Leaders Remain Silent".
which is brought to light again at a time when Burg is making news, this time from an anti-Zionist anti Israeli point of view:

"In an interview in Haaretz Weekend Magazine, he said that he is in favor of abrogating the Law of Return and calls on everyone who can to obtain a foreign passport."
40 Years on!!!
Apparently his loss of a law suit which brought public scrutiny has brought on the latest hissy fit by one of those failed leaders. Cynic | Email | Homepage | 06.10.07 - 8:53 am | #

Follow the URL to a report on a 2004 National Organization for Women rally:
"Feminists Compare Bush's 2000 Election Victory to 'Savage Rape'"
Has to be read to be believed. A prime candidate for next week's Carnival of the Insanities.
