Obama is going up against the very nature of this country, what makes this country great, the energies, the passions, and the principles.

He will not win. How he loses will be the only question, but he will lose.

To lead the United States, to be a successful leader, one must also take into account the country's greatness, which Obama seems to reject.

Therefore, the country will reject him. What this will cost us is of major concern for all of us.

I feel sorry for his daughters, for they will be deeply hurt by what is coming and saddened to their very core.

It was clear to me from the earliest days of the campaign that this was a person with all the characteristics of a snake, but fewer achievements. I remain simply stunned that the American people were so gullible as to elect this con artist. It speaks very poorly of America, but I am afraid that is the result of the public educational system over the last 40 years.

I think that the major reason that Obama was elected was that there were so many people angry with Bush and his administration. If Bullwinkle Moose was running as the Democratic nominee, he would have been elected. "Anybody but Bush" was the mantra. Hillary would have been a much better president, but she's not as likable as Obama.

It seems that Obama and the Democratic Congress are out for revenge against everything Bush and Republican, the country be damned! With all of the angry citizenry of late, it looks like there is going to be a tremendous backlash against Obama, et. al - at least I hope so.

When I joined the Army way back when, I took the oath of enlistment to, " support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Although I have been retired for a while, I still feel duty bound by that oath and would gladly defend it with my life if need be. I'm not sure what that signal would be, but if it does, I am ready to load up my truck with all of my guns and a crate of ammunition and head for the Potomac River.

I hope this doesn't make me sound like a wacko or gun nut. I'm not really. It's just that the crap that is happening in D.C. makes some of these elected idiots look a lot like domestic enemies of our great nation.

We can't forget the Republican pundits who were so afraid that Palin might embarass them by using the wrong fork at a dinner for foreign dignitaries. Their refusal to ask tough questions of Obama that might have revealed his superficiality and lack of character helped get us in this mess. These pundits have revealed their own superficiality and inability to evaluate character.

Pigs occasionally fly after all: Fox reported yesterday that when the Black House tried to exclude Fox from a press conferance with the new 'Pay Czar', Feinberg, the other networks said they would not participate unless Fox was also allowed in.

The Obey-me Administration was forced to back down. There will be ramifications for their humiliation, we can be sure, and it will all hasten the self-destruction.

This is almost a replay of Nixon's last year in office, when he waged war on the media and began rashly hiring and firing his top people. Everyone realized, finally, that he was unstable.

I've said this before and feel the need to repeat this. One half of the population are ready and willing to be conned over and over again. I have tried reasoning with them, and nothing has come of it. They do not read the news, they do not think about what is being said or written, and they are only capable of parroting the distortions coming out of the white house and its organ of propaganda. For a while now, I've had it with these idiots. For a large part of our population, there is no way to awaken them from their ignorant and delusional coma.

I've been re-reading Terry Pratchett's "Lords and Ladies", and this quote seems apropos:

People have been blinded by Obama's glamour, incapable (unwilling?) to see the nastiness beneath the surface. If only people had asked "what kind of man drives his competition from an election by getting divorce records unsealed?"

Here's one for all of you:

I just heard via the radio (Friday, 2pm east coast time) a short audio clip of Michelle Obama speaking at a group on breat cancer where she voices her opinion as to getting examined, in essence saying "it's unacceptable in this country" or words to that effect.

Listen to how she delivers her opinion: Is it not as if she were a supreme dictator?

Her delivery is more than telling, it suggests to me that at night when Obama slides into bed he has more than a partner in his wife, he has the "real" dictator right next to him!

I suspect a number of people are still supporting him because they do not want to believe they are being duped. So they just shut down and concentrate only on the positive. Just yesterday, I heard one of his fans marveling at what a good walk he has. As if that made everything OK.

Does he turn the rage up to 11, take off the gloves, and do what he REALLY wants to do to us?

This comment of yours, Dr. Sanity, explains why Obama shows no concern about North Korea's missiles or Iran's nuclear ambitions--he does not perceive them as a threat to HIM. Your comment helps us understand why Obama is so uninterested in foreign policy. Otherwise, his lack of interest is unexplicable.

Like the USA, other countries also have intelligence agents who explain to their leaders the thinking and psychology of the leaders of enemy countries. Other countries are learning that Obama will fight anybody who directs attacks at him personally or the policies he is personally involved with. Obama will ignore attacks against anybody else, such as his fellow Americans. As long as the nukes don't hit the White House, he'll find them trivial. Indeed, he may even claim that his fellow Americans deserved to be nuked for their ancestors' misdeeds.
