“We can evade reality, but we cannot evade the consequences of evading reality.”

As more people take a closer look at Michelle Obama, more will see into the Obama world and those beliefs that create its nucleus. Even Freud knew that he had to be well armed in order to fight his way behind the language of his patients into their naked and true worlds.

Perhaps the question for this national election may come down to what percentage of the voting public used internet and other alternative resources to gather information and develop their opinions prior to voting. It may be this group who really determines the victor, along with the directions our country may pursue.

However, this constant drumbeat by the so called leftists, the "progressives" has done great damage. Where will a countering political voice emerge?

Will there be a "can do" spirit for America coming to the fore?

As an example: Both Democrats want to "punish" the oil industry.

Why not challenge American industry to create new solutions using our collective great brains and energies? Tackle this need for energy and efficiency; along with safeguarding our environment...the American way?

What's so wrong with a positive attitude? We didn't get to be a great country by sitting on our asses and just complaining...like these "progressives" seem compelled to do!

It's all about creative work. Working within the laws of nature. Stay focused on your local candidates for our future; they could become the new breed that we need. Guys like Chuck Schumer of NY should be retired and given a smoke shop to run in Gaza! Kerry should become a boat captain running tourists down the Mekong!

RJ: Working within the laws of nature.

There is no other alternative. One can only work within the laws of nature. Even while one is attempting to work outside them, the laws of nature determine what will happen. As was quoted above from one of my earlier posts: we can evade reality, but we cannot evade the consequences of evading reality.

Ethanol is the new DDT. It has become a cause célebre among the left-dominated Greens, and once these people latch onto a bad idea, there's no letting go.

The total ban of DDT is counted among the enviros' proudest accomplishments, in spite of the millions of malaria deaths directly caused by the ban. Household DDT would easily have prevented the mass death in Africa without damage to the environment, but in the final analysis the enviros care more about their moral posturing than their fellow man.

Ethanol has a different script, but it's the same movie.

It may be a mistake to think the left would consider the starvation of millions to be an unfortunate side effect. Clearly they are more comfortable with the perceived ideal of earth populated with a sprinkling of enlightened individuals--like themselves--living in harmony with nature, which loves them.

Dr. Sanity,
Thank you for your answer to my question yesterday. It was reassuring, since I agree with you. Considering today's post, a future planned by irresponsible sociopaths is very bleak. I would like to limit their ability to cause harm, but there are so many of them. I would probably place most of the registered Democrats into this category. Often I wish we could divorce ourselves from these folks and send all the middle aged hippies, code pink loonies, public school based marxists, and race hustlers to a different country. However, I am glad that nobody gave me the power to evict my neighbors. They have as much right to be in this country as I do. I also believe that not all these people are beyound help, and reading your posts gives me ammunition for elsewhere.
Once again, thank you.

Mr Obama is against cutting federal gas taxes to offer citizen relief of about 20 cents a gallon. On the grounds that its just a drop in the bucket.

I'd like to know when was the last time any govt tax increase was abandoned because it was just too miniscule for consideration?

POSIWID folks. It's possible to make mistakes but if you don't correct the approach year after year, we can only interpert that you meant the damage all along.

If banning DDT kills millions of kids, it was designed to do just that. If Gov't subsidies for ethanol starve the words poor, it was designed to do just that.

Here in NJ the Gov. wants to "close" 9 parks to save $500k/yr each while new state spending on "Abbott" school districts is costing tens of $billions every year while the kids get dumber and dumber...after all stupid kids grow up to be socialists, no?

So Michelle wants what, exactly? For the people who don't believe like her and become CEOs and business leaders and make the money to support her preferred (unproductive) lifestyle and education? And that differs from slavery in what significant way?

To listen to Obama supporters, it's just an amazing coincidence that his family, church, friends, and business associates are all collectivist revolutionaries, and he doesn't believe any of that stuff but just hangs out with them because they're interesting people.

Yeah, right.

And yet, the majority of Americans continue to vote Left Liberals into power while blaming Conservative thought as backward and stupid.

Further the majority of that majority are female; another reason why I am tremendously disappointed in the weak sisterhood of my gender.

It's almost like they want to be little girls forever and it's rather sickening to be around.

Every "business" (a vehicle to make money) has a product.

The product of the left is to manufacture and market a "problem", that they can then "sell" (for donations)by yelling "crisis"!

If a real solution came along to answer their "problem", they would be out of "business".

Hi, Pat,

Due to workload, I haven't been able to review your fine site --- which I consider one of the more thought-provoking --- for awhile.

Perhaps you've already covered it, but I would like to hear your thoughts not just on Jeremiah Wright, but on Critical Race Theory (CRT) in general. I am not trained in psychology, but CRT strikes me as at least somewhat psychotic (paranoia?). Am I off target, or what?

Thanks again for your wonderful blog.

If you heard Obama's victory speech tonight, you heard nothing but the Left's koolaid: oil bad, share wealth, government should ease your pain and bring you hope. He sounded like Michelle Obama and looked like his real Leftist self was showing through. If this man gets in the Whitehouse, we're in big doo doo.

Doc,

I'm not sure that the left doesn't know the results of their "good intentions." I believe that the environmental movement was fully aware of the millions of deaths that would happen as a result of the DDT ban, and are fully aware of the mass starvation that will result as more of our food crops get turned into fuel. It's called Eugenics.

To Chip,

Can a teenager being persuaded by hopes and dreams served up on the communist platter? It is hard to argue with teenagers but when they mature, many will see a difference between reality and dreamland. Some do not mature, and there is your leftist base. There may be some among the left who are charlatans and knowingly sell people poison disguised as a muracle elixir. I would place BHO in that category. However his followers are not sociopathic liars; they are victims eagerly awaiting a slick hustler to take from them. Some are not beyound help, but I am not sure how to reach them. Main stream media is not a usefull venue these days; I am not sure if it ever was.

...productivity advantage is eroding...

Can't emphasize it enough. The only thing to beat that and maintain the edge is to continue to innovate. And the left has been trying to minimize the 'reward' (and therefore 'incentive') of innovation for as long as I can remember.

Name just a few of the left's 'innovative ideas' to a 'gentler, greener future' and you see it has been littered with 'unintentional' bad consequences.

But the left had been intoxicated on the "I am doing GOOD" mentality, and all that is important to them is just that, the 'feel good about yourself' feelings.

Back on Michelle Obama.

I have assumed those people gotten their 'pretty much useless' PhDs because of their passion. They did not go into the advanced degree programs 'to make money'.

These people specializing in Medieval European Craft History (for example) can either depend on their parents, marry rich (and depend on their spouses), or eek out a living just like everyone esle.

Can Obama's 'passive aggressive psyche' be good for leadership?
If you've noticed during this campaign, BHO doesn't get specific in proposals. But if you have questions , his surrogates (Howard Dean, Michelle Obama, et al) attack you (rather than defend or explain).
Would writing "I am not a racist" 100 times help?
I have a bad feeling about all this.

They don't care about others, only themselves. They don't have any morality to speak of, just the pretence of it. Whatever THEY say is "right" just because they said it. When they cange their minds, it's because that's what they want to be "right" then. And there is no "contradiction" for them, because they can do no wrong, so how dare you question them?!

They are easy to understand. A little harder (ok., a lot harder) are the hordes who flock to them and enable them, despite the suffering their supporters endure at their hands.
