It must be difficult to choose which insanity to include in your Sunday review of insanities. There are so many to choose from and each week the events get even more insane.

A pinnacle of insanity was reached this week when the nominal supporters of capitalism proposed to nationalize the financial markets in order to save the "free market". It translates to the producers and savers of the nation are to be sacrificed to save the butts of the spendthrifts, the dead-beats, the terminally stupid, and the politicians (sorry for the redundancy) who made it all possible.

As was once said: "you ain't seen nothin yet." After all, there are portions of our economy that still functions and countless people doing productive things totally without permission. Our government will spare no effort nor expense to solve THAT problem. All those people out there doing all those things without permission will be stopped.

Well, when they started having women's studies majors I badly wanted to do one...then I found out it wasn't what I hoped it was.

Anyway, Doc, I don't think it's nice to laugh at the women who have discovered the patriarchal nature of science. To show my support for them, my next trip will be on an airplane made not according to patriarchal principles but designed and built according to "women's ways of knowing."

I'll send you a postcard...if I make it.
