I have no problems with changing lanes. I'd just like to know where and when, is all.
Wind is certainly tricky. Like you say, gusty winds in corners are especially puckering at times. Must be really strange on a scooter.
Speaking of sportbikes, I had a once in a lifetime experience a few years ago. I'm on a four lane highway ( two lanes in each direction ). My steed was a Honda CBR600 F4i. A huge gust of wind came out of nowhere and slammed me into the next lane. That fast. No warning. Thank goodness the lane was empty!
I always thought that chicken strips were the places on the edge of the tires that hadn't been scuffed, yet. As in, I'm too chicken to lean the bike that far. Must be the difference in our locales. Same net effect, though.
