It's rare that a commuter only rider will last long without a passion for riding. Maybe in some climates, but mostly not. It's just as well. I think with the lack of passion comes the lack of desire to improve skills. Complacency will get them injured or killed. Best they go back to their cars.
I typically use mine for commuting, since it's my second vehicle. Do I have the passion? I like to think I do. Back in California, I would regularly ride with my scooter club along the coast, through canyons, etc. Here in GA? I rarely have time to get out on long rides because the only time I have to do things like that is on the weekend, and I like to spend the weekend with my family. But, I will do some rallies when they come up again. I need to give the 'ol X9 some much needed air!
