I read the guy’s “biking” blog and most of their comments came off like Frasier and Niles Crane hurling toffee-nosed brickbats at opera neophytes. Good grief what a bunch of whiney twerps! Their slang was nearly incomprehensible.
They complain about scooter riders, but seem to forget that many of their kind (that I’ve seen) are traffic scofflaws. I’ve ridden my scooter to a stop at a red light only to have some bike rider decked out in full gear ease up to the light, look both ways and then sneak across while it’s still red. And then there are those who ride two abreast on the narrow streets. These are the same people who insist they have the same road rights as cars (perhaps they do, but obeying traffic laws—like cars have to—goes along with that!). I don’t have a problem with bike riders, per se, but have no tolerance for those who ride without care (or running down tots with training wheels) and hold others in disdain.
