And honorable mention to the Kinks for "Art Lover" -- Ray, in his constant quest for a hit, writes a tune that wants you to *think* it's about pedophilia at first listening. It reveals itself to be about a man who's lost his daughter in a divorce, but it's a notably peculiar metaphor.
Also, there's "Fiddle About" from the Who's Tommy, and a few other tunes on there, I dimly recall. Pete did a lot of research for that one.
Oh, and "Stay Up Late" by the Talking Heads, about subjecting cute baby terrorists to sleep deprivation tactics.
