Gravatar As the Conservatives slide ever closer to 'New' Labour they leave rather a large gap on the right for another party to fill.

Gravatar Insane cult threatens British Education:
True, it goes by the name of Socialism.

Gravatar "in what sense are these people actually Conservative ?"

Absolutely. With a bit of luck, more members of the right in ukip and from the conservatives will come to the BNP with increased electoral success, and the BNP itself will continue to move more to the genuine right, as it has done recently...

I can just imagine the BBC bedwetting that would lead to! "oh tempora! oh mores!... oh how they change! (again)" :D

Gravatar But the problem is "BNP member" if people want a right-wing party they are hardly going to vote for the BNP.
You guys have some distinctly socialist policies.

Including believing in high taxes.

Gravatar Dave is bang on - leaving aside the more glaring issues, the BNP's economic policies are a huge mishmash.

Gravatar Doesnt seem to matter. Just a conversation with a whole bunch of middle aged ex Torie voters ( you know they that used to be bread and butter) on this issue and guess what. theyve decided to vote on a single issue. So BNP it is then. I was shocked (sort of)

Gravatar HAD - what wrong the h on my keyboard all of sudden.

Gravatar It does matter if the BNP want to be anything more than for people making a protest vote.

Gravatar a protest vote is a good start at the moment - it will be a wake up call to the tories.

Gravatar The problem is it won't be a wake-up call, if the BNP get a large vote Cameron will say "we need to change" more affirmative action to combat the racism! etc etc etc.

Everytime the Tories do less well they suggest turning to the centre (ie left!), they don't seem to even consider the possibility that they have turned off natural supporters by not being right-wing enough.
And when I say right-wing I don't mean 'racist', I mean tough immigration controls, low taxes, tough law and order, smaller government! etc etc, the Tories stand for none of that to any serious degree.

Gravatar I’ve always voted Conservative, but I wont from now on. Instead I will be supporting and sending money to the BNP. I may not agree with all their policies, but unless we wake up now all will be lost.

Gravatar The simple fact is that the Conservatives have ceaaed to conservative.

Gravatar Do you think? Part of me wonders if Cameron isnt smartly chasing the green vote - the Greens did better than the Tories where i live thats how shit things are. If they are courting the wider middle ground maybe theyll get into power and then seek to restore some decent right wing policies. If they see they are losing voters to the BNP would they really be so thick as to ignore this? I dunno.
