I really like how you use pictures in your blog! and the caveman comparison pics - LOLOL that was so perfect in how the images match! I have enough trouble finding enough time just to write, it's nice to see people who can bring in visual elements as part of their commentary too.
The fact that Madonna is now something like the third largest record-seller in human history shows how much is wrong with popular culture nowadays.
Obviously, I didn't see liberals pointing fingers when she was out and about destroying healthy and responsible attitudes regarding everything in sexuality and personal relationships, but now that this adoption case involves one of their PC "meanie" issues, race, Madonna is all so bad.
Feel sorry for the boy's dad, who is between a sharp rock and very hard place.

I can't have the sort of fun in the classes I teach that I can have here (I'd be fired in a minute), so I am glad to find when some nice folks like you get a kick out of my musings...
Radicals are so totally humorless--dead on the inside and waiting to see who they can take down with them in the process of becoming dead on the outside. Stark but true from my experience.
So let's laugh, be happy, not worry and enjoy life! That really gets them.

I actually don't like a lot of Republican policies, or the leadership. I would like to see a social conservative party be built. I think it would have more chances to start local and then proceed up, but I am not a politics strategist. It's just that it seems that Big politics is almost impossible for a third party at the moment.
I don't think the two-party monopoly is helping the US any more, it is too corrupt, too straight-jacketed, it keeps away good people with sound ideas and values that could make a good contribution to the political process.
Right now one has the choice between Studds and Foley, and what kind of a choice is that? Nothing that I consider acceptable from a political representation perspective.
I think every sane person finds the two party system frustrating--but like Churchill put it about democracy, it's the worst system except all the rest! Well maybe. I think reform with the Republican party is still the best way to go to get conservative values on the front burner, but I can also fully understand wanting to have a 3rd party with a clear cut agenda. Perhaps locally that is more of a possibility as you suggest. After all the Greens and Socialists, and a few Right to Life folks I think, hold some local offices.
