Hi, D.O. Just NOW found your comment on the Sourdough, and wanted to apologize out in the open. I loved your site. I have it linked on the 'dough. Thought I'd better come on over and make amends...

Thanks for your generous comment on my post on the Feast of the Holy Innocents, I never realized how closely on the heels of the peaceful Nativity, which you have depicted with such beauty here (thanks for the art lesson, by the way) comes the day we remember the bloody wrath of Herod.
If you go see "The Nativity Story" which I have reviewed on my blog, this fact is vividly portrayed. Perhaps the producers of the film didn't realize this, but to me it's a stark pro-life message: Our Lord is reminding us that His life was in danger, just like 1/3 of babes in the womb in the US who will be killed.
Until we stop the outrage of abortion, the Nativity will always have the aura of tragedy surrounding it. May Our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us!

Dear Leticia (now I get the name of your blog better!),
1/3! I had no idea it was so high. And to think in Germany they are starting payments of $33,000 to women to HAVE children! These sort of facts would move many people off of their apathy. As also will the pictures of courageous people standing up for the unborn on the frontlines of that war, like you have on your site recently.

I've added you to the Dumb Ox blogroll and hope you will let us know when you have some post of special interest.
Godspeed!
