I enjoyed the Paglia piece. You never know about her. She is definitely a renegade.

I should have bet George Soros a million or so that Gingrich would immediately compliment Kerry's book and Kerry would not acknowledge Newt's without subterfuge. I mean, the guy is "debating" and hasn't even read Gingrich's book - very convenient way not to wax-nicely about your opponent. When will we ever wise up. I thought politicians were known to be shrewd - duh! Of course, all the Left knows how we are. I don't know if you saw my update - not about the debate itself, but a Thomas Sowell piece about "tongue-tied" politicians - the general theme of mine without naming names.

What I can't stand is how folks on the right perpetually make generous overtures and gentlemanly gestures to the Libs, and again and again get nothing in return. But here of course you also have Kerry's congenital ignorance. He really is quite an ignorant chap, despite his schooling (or because of it?). They're all a bunch of dolts more and more. None of them have a liberal arts education in history or the classics, for instance.
