Don't worry Ox, my faith (ancient Egypt) provides me with a strong absolutist moral foundation that makes me recoil in horror, weep for the victims, and look to the life hereafter.
It is obvious this guy was vastly disturbed, one of a small minority who needed help desperately before it destroyed him and others in a literal way beyond interpretation and haggling. I agree that the PC culture in America likely hampered and prevented any honest efforts to approach him, but I lay the final blame squarely on the shooter.
Although it is worth noting that this was NOT the worst school attack in America. That honor goes to Andrew Kehoe in Bath, MI in 1927 who bombed an elementary school and blew himself up, over outrage at property taxes that went to said school. 45 deaths, 58 injuries. And this is before the hedonism, relativism, and atheism you decry took hold. Sometimes, Ox, these crazies are just crazies. In a society of millions, you will eventually get someone who slips through the cracks. Enter CCWs, but that is a another argument for another day.
Email me with any comments? Thanks.
