I remember watching some report on CNN or someplace where Sean Penn visited Iran and he asked about all the chants of "Death to America" and was told that it wasn't meant to be taken literally. This i sthe same thing - Wright spews his vile and then says whitey doesn't understand the black church and all the apologists come out and say we misunderstood what he meant. Seems the same to me.

That's like saying I'm a murderer, and, when asked what evidence he had to make such an accusation, defended himself by saying that since public records state that I have a gun, I "could" commit murder.
His first statement was a defamation, the second a deflection.

Agreed, I saw that as well. He needs conclusive proof, which I did not see in the clip. I am quite doubtful he will produce it.

Good observations of typical weakness of libtard arguments--black or white!
One thing that No One picked up on in Obama's "clinging to their guns and religion, antipathy towards people not like them" bomb is the FIRST part of the comment, the lead in as to WHY us red necks cling to guns and faith... Obama says we turn to those things because the Government is not taking care of us economically!!! Ah, socialism will reduce all of our neurotic behaviors...
