Folks running the long con never want to run into people like Monckton.
Monckton obviously is not dependent on public research money, nor upon the mutual admiration of unscrupulous "peers" (not of the realm). A lot of science, it seems to me, was done in the past by people of independent means and without ideological objectives to prove... hmmm. Now we have scientists racing to dictate political research policy and to score the next big genetic drug therapy to cure all of man's ills. I'm not sure that's progress.

I most certainly should note that they not only owe him an apology, but they also owe each American citizen an apology for trying to steal our tax dollars! Well, except for those nuts like Gore. lol
