Hope you have a great and safe 4th. I really appreciate your most recent posts on the foundign fathers. The county I live in now is named after one of the signers of the declaration... Button Gwinnett.
We went to a fireworks show yesterday. One of the songs that was choreographed into the show was Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" I have really come to understand how ANTI-American this song is. WE really need to soread the word to get people to stop playing this song at patriotic gatherings. It is a typical 60's era war protest song and when you listen to the words you realize how he is just protesting against the USA.
Anyway. hope you had a great day and an enjoyable weekend.

Thanks Veritas! I hope you had a lovely holiday with the family too! My kids are in Italy and my wife's idea of patriotism (she's from Italy) is to wave the flag at soccer games. But my wife and I did have some nice discussions about the founders, and what it takes to maintain liberty. Watched "Gran Torino" and there's no small message there about how easy it is to lose our freedom to thugs.

Hi Ox! I went to a TEA party, then came home and watched a bunch of 4th related stuff on the History Channel. Started reading Common Sense...
I just got common sense too, Cindy. I.e., the book, some common sense I've always had despite spending a some years in public school! Glen Beck is doing the country a real service, getting the electorate ready for the next election is crucial, since the left will pull out all the dirty tricks before then (billions to ACORN, amnesty to illegals, voting to felons, etc.)
