I really like Fred Thompson and hope he decides to run. He's a common sense type guy, I like that. What you see is what you get, he's not a career politician.

With the modern scrutiny of candidates, and all the media packaging and polling and focus-grouping, he seems to be a man who knows his mind, says what he thinks is right, and then will do it. He's the sort of man who gets into politics because he knows that worse and unscrupulous men will grab power, and he doesn't want to see that happen to his country.
