I must say that I too couldn't be more pleased with Hillary's flagging campaign. If there were one candidate destined to be a divider nit a uniter, it would definitely be the two headed Clinton Beast.

Ha! Dear Husband and I did exactly the same thing yesterday. It was my first primary vote ever, but DH had a momentary vertigo, I think, when he asked for the Dem. ballot.

But you can relax about how long your commitment lasts. The TX SOS office has this:
One becomes "affiliated" with a party by voting in a party's primary and the affiliation lasts for that primary year. As an example, if a voter voted in the March 2006 primary or April 2006 runoff primary, the voter affiliated with that party for the rest of that year, but on December 31, 2006 the affiliation expired.
So it's only through the end of the year, and we're all back to being officially unaffiliated.

Apparently the guy running the polling station was misinformed. Although its interesting how many people in line asked questions about party affiliation.
I'm not overly concerned. It might be another 18 years before I vote in another primary after all.
